The depth of Mementos had never been so dark and gloomy like that state before as chains were tied from the dark walls onto the railways. The reddish dark whirlpool at the entrance of the room was the only source of light as it shone dimly in red. A plopping sound could be heard as a dark gooey substance emerged from the floor, followed by an eerie laugh that rang throughout Mementos. The sticky pile soon took a distinguishable form, resembling that of Morgana before he turned his face, his shiny golden eyes piercing through the darkness.

".........!"

Morgana woke up with a shocked gasp, widening his eyes fully as he felt his face covered in sweat. He took a few hitched and uneven breaths while looking around him in panic, his heart beating at a crazy speed. He could only relax once all his five senses functioned fully once again, realizing that he was in Leblanc's attic... sleeping on top of Ren's chest. With a final deep breath, Morgana closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to collect his thoughts and analyze whatever that dream was. What the hell was that anyway...?

"That black thing was... me?" Morgana asked himself, still in a state of shock, "...That can't be true. I'm supposed to be human... I should be... if we get rid of the distortion in the depths of Mementos, I'm sure-- I'm sure it'll all be fine...!"

"Morgana...?" Ren trailed tiredly, slowly opening his eyes.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?"

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Oh, um..." Morgana hesitated, "...My sunburns were hurting, and that woke me up! I was absorbing all the sunlight because I'm black. Don't you get it?"

"Do cats really get sunburns though?"

"You're thinking that my entire body's covered in fur, aren't you? I've got none on my pads!"

"I guess that makes sense..."

"By the way, it's not like I'm bothered by this or anything... but hypothetically speaking, OK? What would you do if I turned out to be some weird... thing?"
