Unexpected Visit

A week later....

"Are you free after work then? Because I found this nice coffee shop that just opened and you might wanna check it out."

Luz giggled a bit, "You mean 'Le Chat Café'? Because it looks like I beat you to it." She heard Justin groan on the other side of the phone. "I was waiting till you got out of workkkk.."

"I'm sorry J, but I was in the neighborhood on my break. But, I promise to tell you how nice it is." Luz said. "Alright.. Oh, gotta go, I have a commission deadline due in less than an hour. Talk to you later Weirdo!" Justin said, making Luz laugh. "Bye!"

As soon as she hung up, she went inside the Café and ordered. It had been a week since her and Amity broke up and she still couldn't get over it..And how could she? She's been with Amity for as long as she could remember and it's simply..painful.

As soon as Luz paid for her order and headed to the park nearby. She sat down next to a brunette woman. The woman looked at her. "Oh, I-I'm sorry..Is this seat taken?" Luz asked worriedly. The woman chuckled, "Nah, I'm just messing with you. What's up with you though? You seem a little down."

Luz looked down at her coffee, "Oh, I don't wanna bother you with this.." The woman chuckled, "Try me." Luz took a deep breath, "Well...My girlfriend and I recently..split up." The woman looked at her, "Ouch..I'm sorry. Can I ask how long you two been together?" "Five years." Luz simply said.

The woman sighed in sympathy, "Sorry..That's a really long time." They both heard a squeal and turned to face a little red head girl. "Oh no- Ivy! Please be careful hun!" The woman sighed, "I'm sorry..Kids." Luz smiled, "It's okay..Where's your husband?"

"My husband?-Ohhh! Oh no this isn't mine, she's my kid's child. My wife has been traveling for a bit and Ivy's parents went out for their anniversary." The woman chuckled. Luz let out an 'oh' and apologized.

"Don't apologize, kid. But maybe I can help you out with your problem." The woman suggested. Luz looked at her, "Can you really? Seems like you haven't dealt with this situation." She laughed a bit.

"Oh trust me, I have." The woman laughed. "My wife and I had dealt with several problems. But I learned that, being in love makes people.... vulnerable. Some people love others so much that if the other person wants to leave, they'll agree..Am I right?" The woman turned to Luz, who looked down at her coffee and nodded.

"But you shouldn't."

Luz looked at her, "What do you mean?" The woman laid back on the bench, "If you really love them, you don't let them go. If you really love them, you fight to still be with them. Love also makes you say vulnerable crap, but you don't mean the bad things..So, don't let her go. Tell her how much she still means to it." The woman looked at Luz,

"Tell her you'll stay."

Luz looked at the woman, stunned. Before she could open her mouth, a beep was heard. Luz looked at her phone. "Oh shoot..I have to go back to work." Luz stood up and looked at the woman. "Thank you..for this. It really opened my eyes." The woman laughed, "Anytime..Come on Ivy!"

"I..I'm sorry, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Luz." Luz smiled. The woman got up and grabbed the running girl in her arms. As soon as she picked her up, she turned too Luz.

"Name's Catra."

"Catra..Well, nice to meet you!" Luz smiled as she waved and walked away. Catra waved back as Ivy waved along with her. Catra looked at Ivy, "Awe Ivy, you ruined your dress..Mann, Finn is gonna kill me."

Ivy giggled as Catra gave her a playful glare, "Alright, time to stop by Aunt Mia's house, let's go."

A knock was heard on the wooden door.

"You may enter."

The door opened a bit, revealing one of the royal guards. "Your Highness, so sorry to intrude." Amity was sitting on her vanity and stared at a picture she still had up of her and Luz on their first day, brushing her hair. Amity set the brush down and stood up, "You aren't intruding at all."

The guard stood still as he cleared his voice, "You have a visitor coming in less than 10 minutes." Amity turned to him confused, "I wasn't aware..Did you get a name?" The guard shook his head, "Afraid not..However, they did leave a note." He held a piece of paper.

Amity walked over to him and took the paper and read it. Her face, turning into confusion and fear.

Just know I'll be by the palace in 10 minutes,

my dear child.

Amity looked at the guard, "I need as many guards as you can get to secure the palace when this visitor arrives and several inside the main hall." The guard nodded, "Yes, your majesty." Amity ripped up the paper and threw it in the trashcan,

"What we are dealing with here is not something we should be dealing with."

Amity sat on the throne as she held her staff by her hand.

She hated this. What was even happening? First, she loses Luz and now this!?

The guards all stood in two rows and two stood on each side of Amity. Amity heard a knock on the huge door. She stood up and nodded to the guard near the door, the guard began to open the door. Amity glared at the figure who was revealed but was seen as just a shadow as only light was glaring inside.

"Positions!" Amity yelled as the guards got into a protect stands. Amity glared at the figure that became to approach. "Awe, It seems you have been waiting for me." Amity scoffed, "You better have a good reason as to why you're here and how you escaped years ago." The figure approached more, Amity grabbed her staff and pointed at them.

"Stop. Explain."

The figure stopped walking, "Now my dear child..Is that any way.." The figure had a cloak over their head and pulled it over, finally revealing themselves. One of the maidens that had been in back of some guards gasped lightly a bit. Amity just glared more at the person.

"...To talk to your father?"
