"Wait..What?"

Luz looked at the witch confused, "What's wrong? I-I thought you would love it here, you practically were excited over everything!" Amity let go of Luz's hand, "Yes but..Luz, I-I asked you first. Don't you think it's a little unfair that you said no and yet you want me to move here?"

"I didn't say no, i said not now. That I can't give you an answer now."

"But that's still doesn't help you're case. Y-You want me to move here? How is that any different from you living in the Isles?"

Luz looked at the witch, feeling slightly offended, "Because I have my mom here? I can't leave her all alone!" "But she isn't alone! She has her new boyfriend, who treats her very well, and let alone Justin too!" Amity explained. "And what about me? What if I need to think through moving here?"

"Well, you say how much you don't like being Emperor and how you wish to leave somewhere else..Sooo, I'm giving you that offer. Here!" Luz smiled, "It's easier said than done!"

Amity shook her head as she got up, "No, i-it's not easier said than done. Luz, I have a job over there- A real important job that I can't just abandoned." Luz, feeling a little irritated now, stood up, "What are you saying?..That my job isn't important either?"

"No..Maybe? Look. All I'm saying is, I'm needed there-"

"And you don't think I'm not needed here too?" Luz cut her off. Amity, feeling her patience start to give out, crossed her arms. "I am not saying that, either. Stop twisting my words! I'm Emperor of the Boiling Isles and people rely on me-"

"Well, I have my mom here! She relies on me- let alone needs me! Plus, she likes you! You've always said shes like the mother you never had." Luz said. Amity looked at her unfazed, "My mother is dead. Because of you."

Luz pointed a finger at her, "Oh no no no, don't turn this on me! I do recall that you said at one point, 'I would have done it either way.'"

Amity looked offended, "I was angry a-and a TEENAGER! But did you seriously think I would kill my own mother?!" Luz scoffed, " You were going to kill the Emperor as it was..But of course, little miss perfect always gets what she wants."

Amity felt her blood boil, "What. The. Fuck. Is that suppose too mean?"

Luz sighed as she put a hand on her forehead, "Ami..Look.I'm sorry, I know it's so sudden and maybe I'm not making sense but..look at you.." Luz got closer to Amity and put her hands on her shoulders, "..I've never seen you so..so fascinated by something...Admit it, you like it here."

Amity looked down and then back at Luz, "...But you like it over there too." She whispered.

Luz sighed, "...You're right..But I can't leave here yet. Not when my mom is here by herself..Not-Not when I know for sure she's comfortable with me leaving somewhere that isn't earth. Somewhere that I'm not even sure I could come back and visit."

Amity looked at her with a confused, yet frustrated look, "So what you're saying is if the portal breaks on me and I can't come back that doesn't matter."

"Ami-"

Amity shrugged off Luz's hands off her shoulders, "I don't get it Luz. Do you really think I'm so alone over there that you just bluntly want to bring me over here? Even though I'm not even human? I'm a witch, Luz! I read what they do to witches here! And you know damn well they won't do nothing to you in the Isles."

Luz frowned, "And how could you be so sure that they'll do anything wrong to you here when you barely came to visit?! And how could you be so sure you aren't alone there?" Amity crossed her arms, "I still have my siblings! You know, the ones that bluntly saved our asses when you nearly got killed!"

"I nearly got killed because I tried saving your ass! Don't you see how dangerous it is there?!" Luz frowned. "It's not dangerous anymore since I took over! Can't you see how much I'm needed there?! You even said I would make a good Emperor!" Amity yelled. "How could you be so selfish over something that I suggested in the first place?"

Luz felt her blood boil, "I'm selfish?! Do you even realize what I'm trying to do? I'm trying to protect you! And I'm not leaving so soon, not when I have this job or my mom who isn't even so sure if she'd marry this guy!"

Amity felt anger, " So you're saying I'm the selfish one!"

Luz looked at her, "Take a guess."

Amity gasped as her eyes opened in shock. She then took a deep breath and looked at Luz, "Luz..I'm trying here..I really am. I want to break this distance..B-But if we can't I don't think we should have a reason to.."

Luz's eyed widen, "What are you trying to say?"

Amity turned her head to not look at Luz.

"I'm saying...I don't think we should be together anymore."
