Reginas POV

I woke up to my alarm going off I can't believe summer break was over so quickly I shut my alarm off and got out of bed it was 6:30 I had a to leave in an hour to drop my 7 year old son Henry off at school then go to work so I got ready and left there weren't normally students in the school it was only 7:45 class starts at 9 but I thought I saw a glimpse of someone in the library but I kept walking I didn't have time to stop I still had stuff to do before class I finished extra work and there was still 10 minutes before class started and my mind wonder to what I may have saw in the library no kid wants to hang out at school that early all I saw was blond hair so it's not the librarian belle I thought about going to look again but I didn't bother I just sat and waited for students to come in. The first ones to come in were a group of girls I had a feeling they were gonna be a problem but it's nothing I can't handle and everyone was here I think we'll the bell rang so to late anyone who's late need a slip so I started attendance "Emma swan" I looked around and no one said anything until the door shot open "I'm so so so sorry miss Mills I lost track of time and" it's been a while since I've seen someone late on the first day something seemed familiar with her but I didn't think to much about it "miss Swan I assume" I said in a cold tone she just looked down ashamed and nodded "go take a seat I'll let it go because it's only the first day but there better not be a next time" I just glared at her but she never looked up "yes miss Mills" she went to take a seat in the back away from everyone "hello everyone as you may know my name is miss Mills and I expect the best out of all of you I don't take excuses you get what you get then your done" everyone stayed quiet except a football player with a smirk on his face "got anything to say" he just realized he was caught "n-no miss Mills I'm sorry" I just glared at him I knew what the students thought I was the evil queen yes it bugs me a little bit they just means that there more scared and listen to me more "start off with an essay about what you think of life your perspective of good and bad things why bad things happen to good people just your take on life when your done drop it off at my desk" I passed papers around and say back down I watched my students while they wrote some may say it's creepy but it helps get to know them to pay attention to the little things some kids took a while to start but they finished although one particular blond girl caught my attention she looked like she was thinking of what to say if she was gonna say it she must've been anxious her leg was bouncing like crazy after about 15 minutes she started and finished rather quickly for the time she lost she put it on my desk and gave me a smile but it was almost forced or fake but I gave her a genuine smile once I did her smile looked a lot more real she went to sit down and doodle till class was over I was excited to read hers she seems like the quiet type but her eyes seem to tell a story god what am I thinking I never think about a student this much she's just so mysterious people started handing in there essays and left to there next class I had a free period so I started to read the essays so I'd have more time with Henry after 4 essays I decided one more then I would do the rest later I smiled as I read who wrote it it was Emma Swan

Life is far from perfect and whoever tells you that is lying life sucks and it's hard but there's good in it to something bad happens you have to get over it and look for the good if you don't you can end up a pretty miserable person there are people that go through hell and they definitely don't deserve it why do good people have bad things happen to them that's a good question I'm not sure but I hope that when something so bad happens it means something good will come out of it

After reading the start I was amazed this girl knew how to write the way she said it there was so much emotion written into it she's gonna be one for good grades I read the rest of it and it was great I loved it I couldn't wait to see what else she would do

Emma's POV

It was almost lunch time flew in miss Mills class I was terrified when I was late cause of her reputation and everything and she did scare me quite a bit but there's gotta be a kind women past that wall I can see it I wrote an essay I kinda regret it came easy but I didn't wanna say anything stupid when I gave it to her I smiled but I was fake I don't smile much anymore I don't have a reason to but somehow I think she noticed cause she gave a genuine smile back and it made me smile and it was a lot more real then the last I haven't really smiled in a long time "hey loser" is all I heard when I was pushed on the ground and everyone started laughing I got kicked a couple times but that was nothing some awful words that I just blocked it was one of my reasons that my smile was gone but it was one out of many I just sat there and gave up until miss Mills pushed through the crowd and stopped them "detention" is what she yelled to half the people they walked away with there head down miss Mills helped me pick up my stuff I dropped "Emma are you alright here let me help you" she held her hand up to help me up "thanks it's fine don't worry about it" her face turned shocked pretty quickly "miss Swan I'm gonna worry about it I just saw you get beat up and bullied" I just have her the most genuine smile I could but it probably looked faker then the one in class "it's ok miss Mills it's nothing I can't handle" she just looked concerned and cared i haven't seen someone care about me in years nope can't get attached I know better then that shit the time "I uh I have to go thank you" is all I said before running to the car waiting to pick me up I got in the passenger seat looking down "your late" is what he said in his dark threatening voice "I'm s-sorry" he put his hand on my leg and I flinched he just laughed and dug his nails into my leg "don't let it happen again" I nodded my head as he drove me back to the place where it all started
