Chapter 14

Emma's POV

I woke up early with a pair of arms wrapped around me it wasn't a dream I'm free I'm ok that's not something I would ever say I slipped out of Reginas arms and went into Henry's room to surprise him I sat at the end of his bed and nudged him a little he stirred "hey kid" once he heard my voice he shot up "EMMAAAAAA" I giggled "hey" he launched himself on me knocking me over "your back" he said with a giant smile on his face "yeah I'm not going anywhere" we sat up and his face fell "where did you go..." I knew he would ask but I was hoping I had time for an excuse "I had to see some friends of mine for a while" Henry looked at me not breaking eye contact "your lying just like mommy was when she said the people at the ice cream shop were friends" I was shocked he was smart I was about to open my mouth but got cut off "before you say I'm too young to understand don't because I will be 8 in a month" I took a breath hoping Regina wouldn't be mad "ok your right we did lie but your mom only lied because I asked her too" he nodded waiting for me to spill "some bad people have been hurting me for a long time when I met your mommy she helped me get back on my feet and saved me" he stared "what about the ice cream shop" I didn't exactly wanna tell him this but I know he can handle it "I ran away so when we got ice cream they knew I cared for you and your mom so they told me you would be safe if I went with them so I did" he had tears threatening to fall from his eyes "you were hurt because of me and mommy..." I lifted his head for him to look at me "no Henry I got hurt because I ran away they knew I loved you both and used it against me" he smirked "you love mommy" I blushed "not the point kid it wasn't your fault plus I'm ok" he hugged me and whispered "you love my mommy" I chuckled "yes I do" I picked him up "wanna get breakfast" he smiled "yesssss" I put him down and we had breakfast and of course a dance party that Regina joined 10 minutes later this was everything I dreamed of my happy ending.

10 years later

"Henry get down here" yelled Emma, Henry came down the stairs "coming mom" she smiled at her son and flipped the pancake she was making Regina came in "morning love" she kissed Emma and Henry rolled his eyes "moms I don't care how many times I see you two do that it's still gross" the two women laughed "that's fine get your sister up so you can both leave for school" Henry went upstairs to wake up his 8 year old little sister Avery while Emma and Regina talked "I still can't believe this" Regina smiled at her wife "what can't you believe" "all of this I mean my life was complete shit and you found me in that alley way and saved me and my family and well I married the love of my life and have two beautiful children I don't know how I managed to get this lucky" Regina looked at her wife and still mesmerized by her emerald green eyes "just like you said good things happen to people with shitty lives" Emma's eyes widened "you remember that essay from 10 years ago" "I still have it it's what drove me crazy and lead me to the walk to finding you destiny is a crazy thing" Emma leaned in and pecked Reginas lips "even if It means me almost dying twice" Regina hit her arm "swan" she rolled her eyes "it's actually swan-Mills thank you very much" she giggled "oh come on it's a great bedtime story you save my life twice" Regina was giving Emma a death stare "that look will kill me faster then me almost drowning" "Emma why must you joke about your trauma" she laughed "It makes it seem better then it was and it's just what I do you love me anyway and will put up with it I mean you have been for the past ten years" "I know I love you Emma" "love you too Regina" Henry came down with a sleepy Avery "morning Avery" the little brunette brunette with emerald green eyes smiled at her moms "morning moms" they all sat at the table and ate their breakfast and Emma never imagined her life turning around for the better she started off as an orphan girl who was abused to being married to the love of her life with two children and became the town sheriff making sure no one gets away with hurting someone like she got hurt and Regina was a heartbroken high school teacher who thought she would never love again she never thought she would end up with her student which she happened to save her life twice they've never been happier.
