Chapter 13

Emma's POV

When I opened the door my jaw dropped "miss Blanchard?" Then I froze "your-your my mother" tears were filling in me  and Mary Margaret's eyes "yes I am" I sat there not knowing what to do she came over to me and hugged me "I'm so sorry Emma we never wanted to give you up we should have never been involved in that gang and we're so happy your ok" I backed up maybe I'm out of line but I can't help it "ok? Ok no I'm not ok do you have any idea what I've been through" Reginas eyes went wide probably thinking of a happy reunion "Emma-" I cut her off "no Regina you saw what happened to me when you found me for fuck sakes I had a knife in my leg" Regina didn't stop me from swearing she was gonna say something but my mom didn't let her "it's ok Regina she's right I deserve this" she looked over at me and took my hands in hers "Emma there's nothing I can do if I could turn back time I would I regret giving you up I wish I would have ran with you but I was young and naïve" she was making it really hard to be mad but I still was "they hurt me they raped me they almost killed me more then once before I was tossed around in foster system when people didn't want me or cared about me I dreamed of meeting you my whole life and now I'm angry and I don't wanna be because you actually care and love me and I just can't handle it" I now had tears streaming down my face and I was struggling to stand up of course my parents were no better then I was my mother rapped her arms around me I hugged her tight and collapsed in her arms we were now both on the floor crying "I'm so sorry Emma I wish I could take your pain and suffering away I just wanted you to have your best chance" it took everything in me to say these words but I did "I-I forgive you" we cried a little more then I stood up facing my dad I walked over to him and hugged him immediately "my baby girl you found us I'm sorry" he was also crying "it's ok I'm ok now" we hugged for a bit then we let go and I threw myself at Regina "thank you I could never have this without you I would be dead without you what did I do to deserve you" she smiled "Emma you deserve everything and I would do anything for you" my mom tilted her head sideways probably putting 2 and 2 together "who's this Emma" she knows who this is but I knew what she ment I smiled at Regina and she nodded "Regina is my girlfriend" my mom and dad smiled my dad spoke up "Regina I don't know how to thank you I don't know how we could ever repay you we are so thankful you saved us and our daughter" Regina had my hand in hers "you don't have to I'm was happy to help honestly I never thought I would ever love again but I did and I would do anything for her and I'm happy to get you guys out of there and have your family reunion" "plus I couldn't exactly let you die Henry got really attached" I hit her arm playfully "and so did I" my heart melted "ok that's enough of lovey stuff take care of her but if you break her heart well I think you know" I rolled my eyes at my dad being protective even if that's what dads say to their teenage girls better late then never "all I want is her happiness and safety" she said  confidently we all left to go to granny's so my parents could meet Ruby and granny and to explain myself to Ruby we walked into granny's and Ruby launched herself at me "EMMA YOU CANT SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN what happened to you why is your hair wet what was Regina talking about you being in danger for a long time" well I expected that "woah ok one at a time please let's go sit down" she nodded my parents started thanking granny for looking after me all this time me and Ruby sat in a booth "one at a time I will answer all your questions" she thought of what question to ask first "what did Regina mean you were in danger for a long time" she never broke eye contact "well when I first moved here I met a boy and I thought it was true love I was wrong he hit me and raped me and tortured me all the nights at the bars me being wasted was not my choice I was forced" her eyes went wide "next question" "why were we taken out of here" I sighed "I never told them about you I thought they didn't know but they did and threatened you or granny's life if I ever ran or tried getting help so when we had a plan to arrest them I had to make sure you and granny were safe" I could tell this was hurting her she swallowed not wanting the answer of the next question "why is your hair wet" I sighed not wanting to tell her this "they well kinda tried to kill me by putting me in a tank while freezing cold water filled it" her jaw dropped and came running to me and hugged me "I'm sorry I wish I would have known maybe I could have done something" I held on to her "it's ok it's not your fault besides there's nothing you could have done you took care of me after bad nights you helped more then you think" I could hear her sobbing "hey it's ok I want you to meet people" she
let go and helped me up we walked over to my parents "this is Ruby she's helped me for a long time and has always been there for me since I've arrived in storybrooke" I turned to Ruby "Ruby I want you to meet my parents" she was beyond shocked "you found them-they are them-omg I'm so happy for you Em" she smiled and held her hand out "it's nice to meet you" my mom gave her a hug instead "thank you for helping my daughter when we couldn't" I heard her whisper Ruby smiled "it was my pleasure what are best friends for" after thanking everyone we had burgers and fries and called it a night it was really late we got back to Reginas and went straight to bed as I drifted to sleep I thought of how lucky I got and how long I dreamed of this day.
