"I don't take orders from you. I am a queen, bow down to me."

" 'She's the last one' , What does that mean?" Teresa asked Thomas and Aife as she held the note in her hands with her eyebrows furrowed. They were still up in the watch tower and discussing the note that Teresa had arrived with. Their legs were comfortably dangling over the top.

"Look, i don't know. But ever since you came up, that box hasn't gone down." Aife replied to Teresa. She caught her looking at her face. Aifes makeup. Then it trailed down to her jaw and down the side of her neck. Aife sucked in a breath and Teresa got the message, so she looked away.

"I just think that it's got everyone a little worried." Thomas replied, his voice was calm as he spoke, "especially Gally."

Aife rolled her eyes as she spotted Gally from across the glade, he was watching them intensely with his hands on his hips, "Slinthead." She mumbled underneath her breath.

"He thinks it's my fault." Teresa said as it finally clicked in her mind on why Gally was so on edge around her. To be honest, Aife was too. If she is the last glader, the last run up, how long will they survive? It brings an uneasy feeling amongst the gladers.

"Are you sure you don't remember anything?" Thomas asked her once more, hoping she had answers as to why this was happening to the three of them.

"I remember...Water. Feeling like i was drowning. These faces staring at me. These voices, a woman's voice saying the same thing over and over-"

"Wicked is good." Thomas and Aife said in unison and in realization.

"Ever since i've been here i've had these dreams, well i thought they were dreams. You- You were there," Thomas told her, he then turned to Aife, "You both were." The boy declared.

"Teresa, you were there and you told me, everything was going to change." He stammered as he nervously fidgeted with his hands. Aife has picked up on some of his tendencies, like when he speaks he uses his hands to get his point across or when he bounces his leg up and down. When he rolls his bottom lip into his mouth when he's frustrated.

"What does it mean?" Teresa asked softly at the both of them, when she looked at Aife, her eyes softened.

"I don't know- I just always get pieces."

"And the others don't remember anything..." Teresa said mostly to herself as she processed this new information. Aife was basically ransacking her own brain to try and discover where she knew this girl from. Teresa then turned her body to Aife and spoke, "I'm not sure why, but... i feel the overwhelming need to protect you with my life. Like you were someone important to me."

Aife furrowed my eyebrows at her words, why me? She thought to herself

"No, why are we different?" Thomas asked, making her cut off eye contact with the tan colored girl.

Teresa turned her attention to Aife once more, her blue eyes piercing into Aifes, it looked as if she was searching for something as she looked at her. She must recognize Aife too. She reached into her trousers and dug through her pocket, "These were in my pocket when i came up." She handed Aife two tube like contraptions and she furrowed her eyebrows.

Aife observed the tubes and it had what looked like blue liquid inside of them. Her jaw clenched as she ran her finger gently over the letters that were engraved on the small object in her grasp.

"W. C. K. D. WCKED is good." The girl spoke quietly.

"What if we were sent here for a reason." Teresa asked quietly as she kept her gaze on Aife and Thomas, occasionally flickering to the boys working in the glade.

That's when it clicked in Aifes head.

The grievers. The maze. The changing. Wicked is good. Everything is going to change.

What if whoever put us here is testing us, She thought to herself. It's all fake. To see if we can survive, if we will last in the real world. If i'm wrong, there must be another reason, something similar.

Realization sweeps over Thomas' face as well as Aifes, "Alby."

"We don't even know what this stuff is. Look we don't know who sent this, or what it could do. I mean, for all we know, this thing could kill em'." Newt protested. The three of them came to the Med-jacks while saying the serum could possibly save Alby from the changing. It has to be better than him laying on the bed gasping for air.

Aife rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest as she argued, "Newt, he's already dying. Look at em'."

Everyone's eyes turned to Albys struggling figure that had shown black veins running over his shirtless body. His hands were clenching the sides of the bed.

"Come on, it's worth a try." Thomas piped in.

Newt gave in and handed Teresa the serum, "Alright, Do it." She stumbled over to Alby who's head was tilted back as he took in sharp breaths and she hovered her hand over his chest as she prepared to inject him. She lifted her hand in the air and Albys eyes opened, his pupils were pure black.

"You shouldn't be here! You shouldn't be here!" He grabbed her and Thomas and started to shout as the others, Jeff and Newt, tried to get everything under control.

They held him down and pinned his arms to the side as he continued to growl in protest. "Get the syringe!" Thomas shouted.

Aife quickly grabbed the serum from Teresa's hand and injected Alby with it, right in his chest, he immediately stopped fighting against them and his breathing began to slow to a normal pace as he let his arms go limp. Aife could feel relief coursing throughout her body.

"Uhh, Well that worked." Jeff broke the silence as he shifted in his spot awkwardly. The shorter girl gave him an unimpressed glare and he grinned sheepishly.

"Okay, someone needs to watch him around the clock." The accented boy ordered. Aife nodded in agreement as they stood trying to catch their breath and process the events.

They heard shuffling come from outside and they all turned to meet Gally, "Sundown, greenie. Time to go." He spoke harshly.

Thomas gave Aife one last glance and she gave a short nod and waved him off, "Go. I'll catch up."

She directed her gaze towards Newt and Jeff wearily before walking away and helping out Frypan in the kitchen.

Aife couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad is going to happen, something big. And there's some things she won't be able to do to stop it. But she ignored it. Because even if she can't stop it, she'll find a way.

She always finds a way.

And she won't stop until she does.
