"Remember, no matter how good of a person you are, we are always the villain in someone else's story."

This is how training with my quirk always went. A pattern of attacks and dodges that were easily read and countered. I'm not bragging, it's just I don't enjoy fighting, I find it uninteresting to say the least. Most people underestimate my quirk because I tend not to use it. It's just tiring.

My opponent decided to change their attack and lead with a right hook their quirk activated. Their fist hit my jaw and I heard a crunch as I hit the ground. As they come over with a worried expression I slam my head into theirs.

"That fuckin hurt ya' know" I said rubbing my jaw. The spot was already tender and swollen from the impact.

"I thought you would have dodged it y/n" they say holding their nose as blood drips down their face. I can practically hear it or 'use your quirk.'

I scoff getting off the ground "are we done." I eye them up bruises already surfacing on their skin as well as mine. This practice wasn't too bad though I've been through a lot worse.

"Yeah we can be done today, as long as you go home and do quirk training." They must think I'm getting rusty from lack of quirk use. I just prefer to rely on my strength then my quirk.

I grab my things from my locker and head out, they call after me "be sure to show me tomorrow." I just wave my hand as the door closes behind me.

I decided to walk home today, the sky is a vibrant blue and I found the color quite soothing. I wanted to enjoy the color for as long as it lasted. That was until a certain winged hero had creeped up from behind and made me jump out of my skin. He was laughing so hard he started to tear up. Making his face go slightly red.

"Don't do that to me Hawks" I said playfully pushing his shoulder.

"Sorry sorry you're just so tempting sometimes" he says with a grin. His teeth pearly white as he smiled. His hair was wind swiped and his wings just settled down, he must have been out on patrol.

"What happened to your face." he said gently touching my jaw. I hiss as the pain slowly subsides and reply with just training. He frowned slightly at my answer knowing just how bad it can be.
We didn't have much time for idle chit chat when we heard screams from a nearby building. Hawks took off and I stood still for a moment staring at the blue flames that engulfed the building. I turned my back to the sight. I had half a mind to walk away. I wasn't called to help what was stopping me from leaving.

That was until I heard him call out my name "Y/n I need you." I took a deep breath and faced the devastation once again. Only for him. I ran to the fire dropping my bag on the concrete.

I placed my earbud in "Hawks can you hear me"

"Loud and clear"

"I'll clear the civilian and work my way up. Could you take the top floors"

"All ready on it Raindrop, I'll keep you posted"

I began to work,I called out to the bystanders to clear the area. I assessed the situation as Keigo took the top floors. I ran inside checking each and every room and directing people out of the building. I had used my quirk to make sure the path down was clear as they went.

By the time I got to the third floor I was shaking and I felt like I could barely breathe. I shook my head and continued forward, I heard a scream and rushed into one of the rooms. I was met with a man covered in what looks like burn scars. The support beams in the ceiling cracked as I stepped in. I hadn't realized anyone was seriously injured so I grabbed his arm focusing my quirk on healing his wounds.

"We need to get out of here NOW" i tried to pull him out of the room but he wouldn't budge. He was too focused on my hand that was wrapped around his forearm.

I looked into his face and tried to manage a reassuring smile. But he didn't seem scared, more like shocked and confused.

"I couldn't agree more" he said as he ripped his arm from my grasp and jumped out the back window of the building. I tried to stop him but I could hardly get the words out.

I collapsed to the ground the beam had finally given to the pressure. I was conscious as my quirk weakened and the fire started to scorch my skin. The smell of burning flesh made me nauseous. I call out to hawks hoping he can hear my voice over the earbuds.

The thudding of boots was my saving grace as he ran into the room. His features were filled with horror at my current state. He had me in his arms within seconds of his arrival.

"Y/n you gotta stay with me here"
I nodded in response trying to stay awake.

My eyelids grew heavy as I drifted off to the murmur of his voice and the crackling of those mesmerizing blue flames.
