Dream Eater Cards?

Slater awoke with an ice pack on his head, bandages on his elbow, and soreness everywhere. He was wearing nothing, but his thin pajama's. He groaned when he turned over to get off the bed. Has he got up, he noticed Cid, Leon, and Yuffie all playing a game. "Um, what are those things?" Slater asked curiously. "Oh, they're these new card packs for a game that you can buy from that moogle shop over there." Cid said, as he pointed to the moogle shop. "They're 50 munny each." Leon said. Slater walked over, and bought a pack. It was a box with a weird symbol on it.

"Here, sit down." Cid pat to a coosion on the floor where they were playing. Slater slowly unboxed his pack, trying not to damage the box. They were cards that looked simmilar to those world cards he had gotten from the mysterious figure, that let him travel to the past. On the table, there was a layout to place the cards. He got his deck, and stared at the cards. "Ooh! What did ya get?" Yuffie asked. He stared at his first card, and laughed. "Hahaha! This is some dog-cat thing with a crown and a horn." Cid spit out the soup he was eating.

"A MEOWJESTY?!?" Him and Yuffie exclaimed. "Yeah, are they rare?" "Super!" Slater looked at the rest of his cards. "Magic spells, just like the one's he could wield. "So, how do we play the game?" Slater asked. "Oh, it's simple." Leon said. "Place your deck over here," Yuffie pointed to a square on the layout that was labeled, "DECK". He put the rest of his cards on their, and they sank through the layout, dissapearing. "Woah!" Slater exclaimed. "Yeah, high tech magic!" Cid said. They appeared, now appart of the layout, like a touchscreen that he used. "Now, place the dream Eater that you want to summon here" She pointed to the square in the layout right infront of him. He did, and it once again sunk, but a moving, animated version of the dream eater came to life. "Woah! It's.. Alive?!?"

The spells like fire, freeze, cure, little icons appeared above the cards once they were inserted in the deck. "Now you attack like your attacking an enemy!" Yuffie said. "You can attack any one of us, you get the first move." Aqua walked in with a cup of coffee and a robe. "Hey, what's that guys?" She asked, as Slater ran to the kitchen in the bunker and got a cup of coffee too. "It's these flufufufu cu" He said, as he was chewing the marshmallows he put inside his coffee. He swallowed them and said again, "These are Dream Eater Cards, a new game that just came out, buy a pack at the moogle shop." "I'll just watch for now," Aqua said. "But, marshmallows in Coffee?" "Hey, we were out of sugar okay?"

"You can also meld command, so once you use a command, it will level up." Cid said. Aqua plopped down on a coosion next to Leon. "Okay, let's see, I'll attack, Yuffie." "Hey!" She yelled. "Sorry, your closest." He said as he laughed. Yuffie shoved Slater as he was laughing. "So uh, how do I-" The dream eater jumped on him. It was big compared to the other ones. "AAH! IT'S NIBBLING MY NOSE!" Slater screamed. It tickled though, and it was warm. He picked up the dream eater, and put it back on the deck, petting its back as it rolled over. "Aww! They're like little pets!" Yuffie exclaimed. "Anyways, uh, how do I use an attack?" "Oh, here. Tap that red square by your dream eater." Leon said. "He did as told, and a menu that had all of the attacks popped up.

"Woah." Slater said. "You can import some of the moves you do in battle too, onto your dream eater!" A hologram popped up that would scan his hand for the moves his dream eater could learn. He placed his hand on it, and it scanned. "This is so cool!" Slater said. "Okay, Meowjesty, use Ars Arcanum on Yuffie's dream eater!" His dream eater entered the middle of the layout where they would attack each other. It's horn glowed purple and slashed at Yuffie's bat-like dream eater.It lost alot of HP. On his deck, he noticed a "RE-CHARGING" secton, where Ars Arcanum appeared.

Slater just noticed how intently Aqua was watching the game. Aerith walked through the door. "Hey, does any one want my famous Ice- Hey, what's that?" Leon turned around and said, "These are dream eater cards, a little game that just came out. You can get one for 50 munny at the moogle shop." I'd like some Iced Tea, Aerith!" Yuffie exclaimed. "I'm okay, i'm already having coffee." Slater said. "Same." Aqua said. Aerith handed the drinks out, and went to the kitchen, watching the game as she was cleaning dishes.

"Okay, I'll use backslash on Meowjesty!" Yuffie said. The bat did a back slash with it's wings. "Cure." Slater said. Green vines and leaves and a tiny flower bud appeared on top of meowjesty, restoring it's HP. Slater glanced at the commands, cure was recharging, but there was a level gauge that had gone up alot. "I'll use thunder surge on Cid's dream eater." Leon said. His lion dream eater slashed cid's elephant dream eater. Slater just noticed that Aqua was gazing at a pack of cards she had just bought. Cid's dream eater lost barely any HP. "What? Wasn't that a really strong move?" Leon said dissapointingly. "Yeah, but my dream eater has great defense, and it's only level 1." Cid said.

Cid's dream eater used fire on Leon's, it's HP in the red now. "Haha!" Cid exclaimed. "Uh, meowjesty, use blizzard on Leon's dream eater." The meowjesty shot a cute, tiny ball of ice at Leon's lion, finishing it off. "Aww.." Leon's lion fell down, but it leveled up. "Cool." Leon said. He now got back up, fully healed, but it wasn't in the game anymore. It jumped onto Leon's lap and started to sleep. "Aww." Aerith said. Slater noticed in the corner of his eye Roy and Lilly walk in. "Oh hey guys!" Slater said.

"Wh-" Slater interrupted what Roy was going to say. "These are dream eater cards, a new game that just came out. Buy them from the moogle shop for 50 munny." "Thanks for answering my question, but, are you okay?" Roy asked. "Yeah, had a rough week, this is like therapy almost." Lilly smiled. "Here Aerith, let me help get breakfast ready." Lilly walked into the kitchen. "Oh, thanks!" Aerith happily replied. Slater was scrolling through his commands, as roy sat down next to him. "So, why is it taking so long to be able to go outside again?" Slater asked. "Apparently an effect on the buildings. They have to be repaired with a spell. These are the only other places to sleep right now. We'll be in here for about one more week." Aqua said. Slater nodded.

"Okay, wait what's this?" Slater asked. There was something that said, "FIRE STORM" above the dream eater. "Oh, that's a command style. You charge them by using magic commands and regular commands." Yuffie said. "They give your dream eater different attack styles and stronger attacks." "Hey, I can do attack styles!" Aqua said. "So, this is based off of keyblade wielders, cool!" Slater said. "This should definetly keep us occupied for the next week." Roy said. Everyone laughed. "Okay. I'll do a three attack combo on Slater." Cid said. The elephant charged at Mewojesty, and slashed it with it's horns three times. The meowjesty blocked the third hit. An icon appeared above the layout that said: "Meowjesty Learned Block!" "So, this thing can block now!"

"I'll do a four attack combo on Yuffie, because of command style." Slater said. Mewojesty darshed towards Yuffie's dream eater and all of the slashes were made of fire. Yuffie's dreameater now had 0 HP left, and fell asleep just as how Leon's did. Yuffie's also leveled up. "It's just you and me!" Cid said, as the girls were serving breakfast. Bagel Sandwiches, cottage cheese, with strawberries on top.

The elephant did a move called the "Sliding Cresent" On Slater's Mewojesty and knocked out alot of health. The command style changed to "BLADE CHARGE" and the dream eater's horn got longer, and looked more powerful. "Meowjesty, 5 combo attack!" The dream eater slashed Cid's, then the game ended, the dream eater's going in Slow-Mo now. Above Mewojesty was a sign that read, "Level Up! (x3). The dream eater's healed, and went to sleep. Then they grew big, to the size of them in real life, not like the little ones they were during the game. "Woah! These things, they're real!" It was incredible! The decks came out of the layout, and they put them back into their card cases. Slater hugged his meowjesty, and then de-summoned it back into the card. He put the cards in the case inside of his school backback. "C'mon, let's eat breakfast!" Lilly said.

They grabbed plate's and started eating. Slater had forgotten about all the troubles in his life currently, and had fun with his friends, the one's he needed most in his life.
