Dive Into The Heart

Slater hopped on Aqua's vehicle and set off back to Radiant Garden. When they got there, they saw someone dark.

The man walked past them. "I haven't seen you around before." Slater said. "Humph." He said. A feather from his arm brushed on Slater. He fell to the ground. "Slater what's wrong?" Aqua bent down to help him up. "That man with the silver hair, I sensed incredible darkness.." He replied.

They encountered Cloud in front of the Academy. "Cloud, have you seen that guy with the long silver hair?" Asked Slater. Cloud looked up. "Sephiroth!" He yelled. "Did you say Stephanie Roth?" Slater asked again. "What? No.. Sephiroth. Long story. Where did you see him?" He asked. "The Postern." Cloud sighed, "He's back.." Cloud walked off.

Slater practiced summoning and de-summoning his Keyblade as he walked to class. He passed by a girl while exiting the lobby of the academy. He saw his friend Sato. "Hey Sato! He said. "Oh hey slater. How are you?" "Good, how about you?" He noticed the girl next to him. "Is this a new student?" Slater asked. "Well, sort of. I just found her, and she could wield a Keyblade." Slater smiled. "Well welcome! I'm slater, what's your name?" She looked down. "My names Hiyori." She said bashfully. "Well, welcome to the academy, I gotta run! Bye Sato, and Hiyori!" Slater hopped on his skateboard and rode to class.

He remembered when he and Roy were falling, and he started to glide through the air. Could he do that now? He should ask Aqua to teach him that, and how to maybe even double jump. He had seen Aqua do it. But she was a Keyblade master. How would he become one?

Slater started to slowly lift off the ground on his skateboard, trying to fly. He started to lift up, and glide through the air! He was going so fast. He quickly grabbed his skateboard and flew upwards. He managed to turn around and land on the roof of the restoration sites castle. He stared at the view. The sky, was still purple. He set off for training as usual, but this time, he flew in.

"Hey Aqua!" He said as he landed from gliding in. "You can glide! That's impressive." She exclaimed. "So, what's for today?" He asked. "You will be diving into your heart." He made a confused look. "If it doesn't work, oh well, but this is mandatory for one of the seven lights. It's your sanctuary. If your heart becomes fragmented, it can be repaired by someone else, as long as you have dived into your heart."

Slater sat down, and closed his eyes. His Keyblade started swirling around him. He heard it rip through the air. He started to lose consciousness. He heard something that sounded like unlocking a keyhole. He opened his eyes. He was falling, diving for a stained glass picture of himself, and pictures of his friends around him.

He stared at it, as he was diving closer to it. It had actually worked? He saw Aqua, Roy, Sato, And Lilly. He softly landed on the stain glass. He looked around him. It was dark, but the picture under him was glowing. He felt so safe here. Aqua was right. It was his sanctuary.

"Don't be afraid, you hold the mightiest weapon of all." Someone said. "Who's there!" Slater called. No one replied. Only his voice echoed. Stairs appeared to a door in front of him. He walked up the stairs and entered the door.

It was the same picture of him, and his friends. Then, the ground started to rumble. "What the-" he fell over. What he saw, was a huge, shadow. The word "Heartless" popped into his head. Then, another huge monster came up behind him. "Nobody". A heartless and a nobody we're teaming up against him? Where was his Keyblade? He tried to summon it. It didn't work. "No!" He yelled. The heartless slashed at him, grabbing him in the process. Something slashed it, and he fell to the ground. He landed on his back.

He quickly opened his eyes. A Keyblade was stuck in the ground next to him. It looked like a Keyblade of light and darkness, like two becoming one, the heartless and the nobodies..

He grabbed it, and quickly jumped up into the air, high enough to hack at the heartless. He got three hits, and then he was locked into place by some strange chain. The nobody was now in front of him. "Let me go!" He ripped out of the chain, and fell all the way down. Suddenly the stained glass was sideways. He stuck his Keyblade into it at the end and hung on for dear life. The nobody started to charge a ball.

It got Slater up into the air, but he threw this new Keyblade straight into the ball. It exploded, and the nobody burst into light. Now, the heartless was left. Slater flew around it, making it dizzy. He started to hit the huge heartless. Nothing worked! It slashed at him, grabbing him again. "This is the end.." He said to himself. The new Keyblade fell to the floor.

It suddenly dissappeared, and came behind the heartless. Then, a beam of light came out of it. He knew what to do. "Salvation!" He yelled. Light blinded him, and the heartless faded away. He landed onto the ground.

He felt wind blow from behind him. He looked and saw a man in a black coat. Then, everything went white.

Slater found himself in the cave again. His Keyblade was swinging around him like crazy. Once he opened his eyes, it slowly fell to the ground. "Did it work?" Aqua asked as she rushed over. "Yeah, I was inside my heart. But, there was a nobody and a heartless inside, and a man in a black coat." Aqua stared at his keyblade. It changed from the Oathkeeper to this new Keyblade he saw in his heart. "This is the Keyblade that I wielded in my heart against the Nobody and the Heartless!" Slater exclaimed.

The man in the coat, what did it mean?"
