As always, Y/n was doing research on that strange gut feeling that she often had. Only this time, it was a whole another ball game.
This time, it was affecting her physical appearance. It would not be too much of an issue, if only it was not something so noticeable. Her hair color going from bright red to h/c was the most obvious physical change that she could have, other than maybe her skin turning blue like Megamind or a Smurf, but what are the chances of that? Actually, with Y/n's luck, she wouldn't want to jinx it by thinking about it too hard.
Anyway, the research this time consisted of hair books. Anything on hair health, the genetics of hair color and texture, and hair growth, she skimmed to see if there was anything helpful to her situation. Y/n spent the whole day in the public library, reading through hair books, trying to avoid the librarian that kept pestering her about wanting to play with her hair, since she was reading so many books about it.
By the end of the day, Y/n had checked out five books, though she doubted that there was anything useful in them. She was starting to loose hope on finding out what had changed her hair color so suddenly.
Sure, hair color can change over time, but not so suddenly like it had.

Valentines day was approaching, and Y/n wanted to show thanks to her friends and give them gratitude chocolates, but she was not sure who would be appropriate and inappropriate to give chocolates to. Who was a friend, and who was just an acquaintance? She had no idea.
So, she decided to ask one of the people she was pretty sure was a friend, who she should give chocolates to and who she shouldn't. She was only sure of three, though, and asking two of them was out of the question.
One: Nendou. No. Just no.
Two: Kaido. He would blush like hell and stutter just knowing he would be receiving a chocolate from a girl, even if it was just a friend. So no.
Three: Saiki.
So, Y/n stood in front of the Saiki's house, hand raised, about to knock on the door. She was nervous, afraid one of his parents would answer the door instead. She was also nervous because she knew he would not enjoy one of his "friends" randomly showing up at his house. Regardless, she was there and she was going to ask. No turning back now.
She knocked once. Two. Three times. Then, she waited. And waited. Maybe no one was even home. Stepping back, she looked up at the windows. Lights were on in one of the rooms. So, she knocked some more, assuming Saiki was just ignoring her because he did not want to talk to anyone at the moment. It was not out of character for him.
Finally, after pounding on the door for fifteen minutes, Y/n heard some stomps coming down the stairs. They sounded angry. Y/n shrunk into herself as the door swung open. She was right, he did look angry. Saiki's pink eyebrows were knitted together, and his lips were pulled down in a frown. Y/n smiled shyly, hoping he was not mad enough to yell at her.
Upon seeing her, Saiki's scowl slowly disappeared to a normal-ish expression. You could still tell he was irked, but less mad, as if he was expecting someone more annoying to be at the door.
"What," He asked, the annoyed hint still in his voice.
"Valentines day is coming up," Saiki's eyebrows shot to his hairline, assuming that she was going to ask him to some kind of Valentines day date. Why else would she be at his house, mentioning Valentines? "And I want to give all my friends gratitude chocolates. Problem is, who is appropriate to give chocolates to and who isn't? I have no idea and I don't want to make things awkward with anyone," Y/n started to talk quickly, embarrassed of her cluelessness.
Saiki, on the other hand, was embarrassed that he had thought she was there to ask for a date.
"Why are you asking me?" he leaned on the doorway, his arms crossing over his chest.
"You're one of the three that I am pretty sure is a friend," Seeing the look in his eyes, Y/n answered his question before he even asked it. "Kaido and Nendou," Saiki's mouth made a very small 'o' shape in response, nodding.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Saiki sighed, turning to walk deeper into his house, waving a hand to have her follow him inside. She followed along with no question, closing the door behind herself.
"You know," Saiki started, sitting on the couch. "If it were up to me, you'd only be giving me chocolates," He said, making Y/n chuckle lightly.
"You do have quite the sweet tooth. Don't worry, I'll make sure to make you extra," One of Saiki's pink eyebrows raised asymmetrically.
"You don't usually make gratitude chocolates,"
"Oh, I know! I'm just a fan of cooking and baking. Specially sweets," Saiki would say the smile that followed her sentence was sickly sweet, too.
"How about you make me some sometime?" He asked, half joking.
"Sure! I'd love to!" The pinkette wondered how Y/n took the comment one hundred percent seriously, but oh well. He was not going to correct her if it meant free sweets.
"Well, I don't know how you expect me to know who your friends are," Saiki mumbled, eyeing the red haired girl questioningly.
"Your friends are my friends for the most part, I think. Aside from Teruhashi,"
"Then there's your answer," Y/n hung her head low, sighing in frustration. Saiki raised an eyebrow in question. Why was she so worked up over who her friends were?
"I wish. Who would think it's weird to receive chocolates from their girl friend? Who would I have to explain that it is gratitude chocolates? Would anyone think of me in a different light?" The pinkette was amazed that she was worrying about such trivial things.
"I think you're overthinking Valentines Day," Y/n looked up through her eyelashes, sticking out her bottom lip slightly. "How differently would they look at you, anyway?" The girl huffed, slumping her shoulders.
"They would look at me like I'm a girl!"
"So they don't already?"
"No, and I'd rather keep it that way,"
