After what happened with Satoni, I needed a few days to myself. I couldn't tell my brother what was going on. I knew that he probably wouldn't care anyway. He didn't care because he wanted me to sacrifice. I decided to come back to New York to get answers. I wasn't sure what I was looking for but I knew where I had to start. I hated involving Kari but I needed her. Satoni wouldn't let me out of his sight and he wouldn't let me come to New York alone. I knew that the only way to get away from him was to lie. Kari hated lying to Satoni but she helped me anyway. We are supposed to be in Hawaii right now for some girl time. But she went alone and I came to New York. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I looked at the doors to the club and debated with myself. Should I go in here or should I turn around? I knew that seeing Vain was a bad idea but he was the only person that I could trust right now. I knew that he would be able to give me the answers that I needed. I bit my lip and pulled the door to the club open. I stepped inside and to my surprise, no one was here. It was four in the afternoon and it was odd for it to be quiet. I felt grateful that I wouldn't have to deal with any of the girls right now. I walked towards the stairs quickly and climbed them. I wasn't going to accomplish anything standing around. I wasn't sure if Vain was here but I knew that he had to be because the club was unlocked. Being in here brought back a lot of memories that I wasn't ready for. I saw his office come into view and I closed my eyes. My heart was pounding in my chest because I hadn't seen him in a year. What would his reaction be? Would he be angry to see me? I shook my head and knocked on the door. I couldn't think about that right now because it would only make me want to leave. I had to stay focused and deal with it as it came. I heard him say come in and I walked in. Him and Ace were at the bar talking in Italian. When he looked up and saw me, he frowned.

"Vain," I whispered.

Ace turned around quickly. He looked as though he saw a ghost. I gulped trying to focus on Vain. It didn't seem like he was happy to see me. Ace smirked and placed his hand on Vain's shoulder. "I'll leave you two alone." He stood up and made his way to the door. I looked down at my feet as he passed me closing the door behind him.

Vain grabbed his cup and downed it in one gulp. "What is the soon to be bride doing here?"

I gulped realizing that he already knew. I didn't know what to say to him and all my words seemed to be jumbled together at this moment. I knew that he warned me about Satoni and now it seemed that I didn't take him seriously.

"Vain please, I need your help. I wouldn't have come all this way for nothing."

He shrugged, "sorry but I can't help you. You can ask your fiancé for whatever you need."

I stepped towards him quickly. I could feel my heart hammering in my chest. The tears that blurred my vision seeped onto my cheeks. "Vain...I...I have no one else to turn to."

I could see his jaw clench, "if you came all this way for a favor you can forget."

"I miss you," I cut him off quickly.
