All I Want ~ Newt x Y/N

                          -One month time skip-
So a month has passed and I feel so much more comfortable in the Glade. Newt and I are like best friends, we work together in the gardens. I decided on being a track hoe, it's very peaceful and plus I get to spend a lot of time with Newt. My feelings for him are growing stronger..
Today is the day for a new greenie to come up. I'm kinda excited because I'm hoping Gally will leave me alone. He is a bit of a shuck face.
As I'm lost in my thoughts I hear a loud alarm sounding which Newt had warned me earlier that signals a new greenie coming up.
We all make our way over to the box. The lid opens to reveal a tall dark haired boy who looks very spooked. My heart drops. "Thomas" I say in my thoughts. I nudge Newt lightly and whisper in his ear "that's him Newt... that's the other boy I see in my memories." He looks down at me with a concerned look on his for a second before the dark haired boy jumps out of the box and runs off as fast as he can. Whoa he is fast.
"We got a runner!" A bunch of boys laugh and joke as he runs. He makes it to the edge of the deadheads before he stops. Alby goes to run after him and Newt stops him saying "I got this one Alby" Newt hurries off after Thomas as quickly as he can due to his limp. I decide to get back to work.
Some time goes by and it's lunch time. I set down my tools and head to the dinning hall. I see Newt and Thomas walking to the hall as well. I jog to catch up to them. They both greet me and I say "I'm glad to see you have calmed down a little greenie. Welcome to the glade" he smiles back and says "no need to call me greenie, my name is Thomas." He looks down at his feet. "Well... nice to meet you Thomas. I'm Y/N." We walk into the dinning hall and grab food and sit down.

Later that evening as the bonfire was beginning to start and I was walking towards the middle of the glade, I hear a "psst" coming from the trees to my right. I see Thomas and he all but grabbed my arm and pulled me in there with him. "What is your problem?!" I say as I'm grabbing the leaves from my hair. "How did I hear your voice in my head earlier?! I heard you say my name. That's the reason why I have even remembered it!" Trying to keep his voice in a whisper but failing to miserably. "I have no idea what you are talking about Thomas! I think you are just tired.. maybe you need to-"
"Don't." Thomas said quietly "I'm sorry for addressing you that way Y/N" he signed "I'm just confused and scared."
"We all are Thomas...it's okay. I'm not sure why you heard my voice earlier maybe I accidentally said it out loud." I said
"Yeah...maybe" Thomas said not quite buying what I said "Let's go to the bonfire greenie, you are the guest of honor." We both laugh and walk to the homestead. I meet up with Newt and he puts his hand on my lower back as he welcomes me and Thomas to the group. My heart does a backflip at his touch. "Hey." I smile up at him. He smiles back and continues his conversation. All 3 of us go sit down on a log, I had a jar of Gallys "special recipe" we still don't know what it is but it helps on the hardest days I guess. I pass it to Thomas who seemingly had the same reaction that I first did but he ended up drinking a bit of it.
"I'm gonna head to bed guys, goodnight." Thomas days before walking off.
"Night" newt and I say together.

Newts POV:

Now that Y/N and I are alone I think now is as good of time as any to tell her. I rub my hands together as she looks at me with an adorable small smile across her face. I decide to grab her hand and her touch sends a shot through my body. I sigh and before I could say anything Y/N says "is everything okay Newt?" I smile slightly and say "of course love, I uh.. I just wanted to tell you that uh.. I like you Y/N." She looks at me and smiles. She says softly "I like you too Newt." This has to be the first time in a very long time that I have felt this happy.
"I have liked you since the first time I have seen you in my memories Y/N. Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked nervously as I bit my lip "of course I will." She smiled when she said that and I leaned in..our lips almost touching and Alby walks over with a questionable look on his face. "Time for lights out you two." We both sigh and get up to walk to our sleeping quarters. That shuck face Alby. We were so close. I walked Y/N to her hammock and before leaving her she grabbed me and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. It made my heart flutter in my chest. I smile and say "Goodnight love" before walking to my hut.
