If there is anything I have learned in this while thing is that good things don't last forever. We find Minho and we are all so happy but Jansen found us. We all take off running and dart into the nearest room. I shove in the room and lock the door behind us. I can hear banging on the door and Minho and Newt barricade it. "Oh shit." I whisper under my breath. I look up at Newt and he is paler than normal, I know somethings going on but I just don't know what.. I put my hand to face which is freezing cold I whisper "I love you Newtie." All small forms on his face "I love you too sweetheart." He kisses my forehead "Okay yeah that's cute and everything but does anyone have any ideas on how to get out of here?!" Minho yells. Thomas is looking out the windows of the tall building at the ground. I walk over and see a fountain underneath us. "You can't be serious..." I say to Thomas "it's the only plan we have Y/N." Thomas whispers looking at me with sympathy. I step back to allow the boys to throw something through the window causing it to shatter. I can tell the people outside the door are close to getting it open because they get louder and louder as each second passes. My heart is racing, that's a long jump. "It's uh..it's uh doable... we just need a running start." Thomas says nervously addressing the group. We walk backwards until we are almost at the door. "Are you sure about this Tommy?" Newt asks "Not really.." he answers "oh yeah nice pep talk" I say rolling my eyes "Yeah we are all bloody inspired." Newt adds on. I grab his hand and Thomas counts down from 3....
3......2.......1 and I run and we jump out of the window. The impact on the water stung a bit but surprisingly we are alive. I breath a sigh of relief when I come up from the water seeing the boys made it okay too. I look up and Jansen at the window looking down at us and I decided to flip him a bird. He smirks and turns and walks off.

Thomas and I have to pretty much drag Newt out of the water and help him on his feet. Once we turn around we are yet again met by more security guards. "Oh shit." Thomas says "Take it easy..." one of the guards say walking closer to us. The guard in the middle turns to the side and shoots every other guard. I gasp at the sight, the guards walks towards and takes his mask off, it's Gally. Thank goodness. "G Gally?" Minho says. Oh yeah I forgot Minho has no idea that Gally isn't actually dead. "Minho." Gally responds "You guys are nuts." Gally says before walking off "what the hell?!" Minho asks me "I'll explain later." I chuckle and we follow Gally.
We walk for a while and get to an ally to stop and take a break, Newt pulls me to the side and he's got a worried look spread across his pale face "sweetheart.. I need to tell you something." He's barley able to speak without a cough or two "o okay.." I stutter back newt pulls up his sleeve revealing his arm covered in blue and purple bulging veins "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner.. I didn't want you to worry about me." He says wiping a tear from his face. All the breath is sucked from lungs and I feel like I can no longer breath. I let all of my tears fall from my eyes. "Y you are gonna be okay, Gally got the serum.. we can g give it to you and you will be okay." I stutter out in a sob "Come here sweet heart..." Newt pulls me weakly into a hug "you're right love, everything's gonna be okay.." he says trying to reassure me. I stay in his light embrace for a bit longer before off to side we see a flash of light and then fire erupting. "What the hell?!" I shout "Get down!" Gally shouts at us. A crowd of people starts running in the streets and nose explosions coming from each side of the street. "We gotta move!" Gally shouts again. Minho and Thomas pick up Newt and carry him as we run across the street. Thomas takes out his radio to try and make contact to Brenda "Brenda are you there?!" He asks frantically "Yes yes I'm here!" Brenda responds quickly "We aren't gonna make it! Take the others and get out while you still can." Thomas says to her "No. I'm not leaving you. Forget it." She answers "Even though you should?" Thomas asks with a tear in his eye "Thomas don't worry I'm coming to you!" Brenda shouts back over the radio "Look for us near the tunnels!" Brenda says and that's the last thing we heard from her. Newt is only getting worse, his lips turning purple and his veins are bulging all around his face. My heart drops at the look of him and seeing how weak he is. I can't lose him, not like this. I can't help but cry, he puts a weak hand on my face and attempts to wipe a tear falling from my eyes. "I love you.." he is able to choke out "I love you too.. always" I respond
The city is exploding everywhere and we are struggling to even get across the street. People are running and there are gun shots everywhere. Newt can hardly walk and we are trying so hard to get to the tunnels. Newt falls to his knees unable to move anymore "J just leave me..." he chokes out "Minho... run to the tunnels and get the serum and make it back here as soon as possible. Gally go cover him." Thomas demands and the boys take off. I can't take my eyes off of Newt, his eyes have gone black and their is black bile dripping down his chin. "Just hang on please Newt.. please." I beg him as his face goes blank. He is struggling to breath and is unable to say anything back to me. "Come on Newt, we gotta move now." Thomas says trying to pull him up. Newt grabs his hand and Thomas and I pull him up. We run as fast we can across the street and it's harder this time because Newt is almost full weight. My vision is blurred by my tears and we are getting closer and closer to the tunnels. Newt loosens from our grip and falls to the ground. His breathing has gotten worse and he is basically gasping for air "Come on Newt please we gotta keep moving!" I shout at him and fall to my knees trying to get him back up. Thomas gets behind him and tries to drag him but it doesn't work. I look to Thomas who also has a lost look on his face and all the lights around us turn off. I close my eyes and point my head down at the ground. I turn around to see Newt and he is standing again "Newt?" I ask getting closer to him. His face had changed.. it's gotten worse he lets out an awful noise and runs towards me causing me to fall on my back to the ground. As I try my best to fight him off I say "please Newt.. hey it's me.. it's Y/N." He comes to for a second and looks at me "I I'm sorry.. p please.." newt pushes a weapon over to Thomas "K kill me.. please Tommy.." Newt begs "No!" I shout back before I know it Newt is back in his rage form and tackles me back down to the ground. Thomas comes over and tries to fight him off but Newt knocks him over with a single push. I try my best to fight him off once again and he comes out of it long enough to grab the weapon (TW) and hold it his head. "NO!" I yelled and smacked it out of hand sending him back into rage. Before I could react his body goes limp and falls on top of mine. No no.. this can't be happening.. I let out a heart wrenching scream as I try my best to shake Newt awake. Thomas and Minho come over and pull Newt off of me. Thomas grabs me and pulls me into a hug "it's okay Y/N... They made it back in enough time.. he got the serum." Thomas told me as he hugged me tight. I cried harder but this time it was out of relief. I can hear Newt groaning on the ground and I run over to him. His face is starting to regain color and his eyes are returning to their normal golden brown. "I'm sorry sweetheart.." he says to me "don't you dare apologize." I say back in a stern tone "that wasn't you.. you don't owe me any type of apology." I respond. He is able to push himself up off the ground and I melt into his embrace.
Brenda runs up behind us "come on guys we gotta go! Now!" She says we grab our stuff and take off to the tunnels. The city is going down quick and I don't wanna be here to see what happens when it does. We make it back to the tunnels and we see the aircraft with Frypan, Jorge and Vince waiting on us. We all jump in and right before the door closes I hear a familiar voice coming from the distance.. It's Teresa. The structure she is running on is quickly crumbling underneath her. "Wait!" She yells out Thomas leans over the side and tries to grab her hand to pull her up but the structure collapses just before he is able too. "NO!" Thomas yells as he watches what he thought was the love of his life fall to her death.

Okay WOW! This was a lot. I watched the movie to get inspo for this part and I balled! I refused to watch all of it lol. This chapter was 1,730 words, it was a lot to fit in to one chapter but I felt it was important. Next two chapters will be a bit more light hearted. I hope you guys are enjoyed ❤️
