It's the last day of summer and school begins in 10 days
Not long ago Vinnie told me that he got accepted to the University he dreamed about since he was a kid so he needs to move far away
I am happy for him , and i am proud of him. We have been friends for more than 6 years and lovers for 1 year. We went through a lot together and we have always been there for each other , but I think this is gonna change soon.
Right now is about six pm and we are on a field . Here he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. The sun slowly sets and the sky starts to become orange
"I'll miss you a lot" I tell him
"I'll mis you too. But I promise we ll talk daily. I know it's hard and I totally understand even if you find someone better . I just want you to know that I'll wait for you forever. I'll be gone just 4 years . It's a lot but if you think about its not that much , plus that I will come home sometimes"
"I know and I belive that you'll keep your promises, but you know I can't just not think about the fact that maybe you'll find someone else . I don't want to be selfish , but I don't want to end things with you either" I say and we both have tears in our eyes
He will leave in 2 days
"I will never forget all the things we did together" I say and tears run on my cheeks
"Me neither baby , we just have to have faith in each other" he says and cup my face with his hands and he wipes my tears away
"I promise I will never forget you and I promie we will be in touch this 4 years and I promise that our love story will never end" he says
"I will never find someone better than you" I say and I put my hands on his face
At this point we both cry
"I love you" he says
"I love you more" I say and we start to kiss
I put my hands on his neck and he kips his hand on my face
I love him so much and I hope the promises we made will never break

Vinnie's pov

I love her so much , she havs always been here when I needed her and it breaks my heart that I will have to leave her here. I mean it , and I plan on continuing our love story after i return
Meanwhile , I got her a promise ring that I will give her hear , right now
Maybe it's not a fancy place but here we first met, and here I asked her if she wants to be my girlfriend, it basically our spot
She then breaks the kiss because of the need of air
She then pulls me into a tigh hug
Then I slowly get out of my pocket a box
I am nervous and I can tell she's nervous as well
"That's a promise ring that I bought you , I promise I will always love you and one day I plan on making you my wife" I say nervously
"Vinnie-" she says and tears are still runing on her cheeks

After 2 days (the day Vinnie leaves)

I am with my family , Vinnie's family and Vinnie on our way to the airport
Our family get along really well , that's all I asked for.
We are all sad but happy for him
We will miss so much. All of us

These are the last moments we can spend with Vinnie until he leaves
He hugs his family and my family , and changing some word and then he arrive at me
He hugs me tigh and kiss my forehead
"I miss you shawty , I love you" he used to call me shawty when we were just friends"
I roll my eyes which were full of tears
"I'll miss you too and I love you more . Take care and don't forget to call us daily" I tell him. He tighs his grip on my hands and I see his eyes are full of tears too
He kisses my forehead again and he says a one last time "Goodbye" and he leaves

That was , seven years full of happiness, I hope the best to him , and I hope we will be powerful enough to face this period
Love him forever

a/n - I had some tears in my eyes while reading this
