A Shared Curse (part 1)

Rex arrives with the ghost crew, he still can't believe that he decided to join the Rebellion. He walks through the ghost crew as they part, immediately seeing his little sister, Ahsoka. He smiles as he crosses his arms behind his back.

"Commander." He uses the familiar title, Ahsoka walks closer, smiling with that snippy smirk he remembers, albeit older.

"You got old." Ahsoka gives a tiny chuckle, already feeling the familiarity coming back to her even after so long. She missed her brother.

"Had to happen sometime Rex." She look at him for a minute before jumping into his arms and giving him the biggest hug she could muster. Rex feels surprise for a moment, but eases into the hug.

"I missed you, Ori'vod." Ahsoka tells him and he hugs her back just as tightly as she hugged him.

"I missed you too, Vod'ika." She pulls away, smiling at him. She looks at the ghost crew.

"Thank you for trusting my brother."

"It wasn't easy, still isn't." Kanan tells her, she nods. She understands why he's so afraid. They walk down the hallway, splitting paths. Leaving Rex and Ahsoka too talk, they both walk through the ship.

"I can't wait to tell Anakin that you're here, he's..."

"What...! Wait, Anakin's alive!" Ahsoka turns to Rex in confusion, he should know this.

"Rex, did you not get my messages. I told you that I found Anakin."

"I... Wolffe hid the messages, he was trying to protect us. If he had known that Anakin was alive..." Ahsoka places her hand on his shoulder, looking at him with a comforting smile.

"Do you want to go see him, when you never answered our messages we thought you were dead, or captured by the empire." Rex nods and follow's Ahsoka, but he tries to think about what to say to Anakin. How does he explain the he's a werewolf.

It happened shortly after order 66, he had just found Wolffe and had gotten the chip out a few days before when they encountered a giant, bipedal wolf like monster.

They fought it but Rex was bitten, it caused him pain and after only a few minutes he started to transform into a beast just like it. Only Wolffe and Gregor know.

Ahsoka brings him to a room, Rex breathes in nervously. He can't believe that he's actually going to see Anakin again after all these years.

"Go on Rex, knock." Rex does and Ahsoka leaves to give him and Anakin privacy, Rex waits for Anakin too answer. The door suddenly open's and Rex finally see's Anakin after fifteen years.

Rex can't believe it, he looks at Anakin, who's tearing up.

"Rex?"

"Hey Ani." Rex whispers.

"Rex!" Anakin pulls Rex against him, sobbing into his shoulder. Rex wraps his arms around Anakin in a tight embrace, not believing that he's not dreaming at the moment.

"You're alive." Anakin whispers, and Rex pulls away to give him a deep, passionate kiss. They pull away for air, Rex giving him a keldabe kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you too Ani, more than anything." Anakin pulls away.

"Come on, I'll show you around." Anakin grabs Rex's hand, pulling him through the door as he laughs. Telling Anakin that he's a Werewolf can wait, he just wants to spend the day with his husband.

It's been about a month since Rex and Anakin reunited, things have been going great. They have both been as happy as ever.

"Hey, Rex!" Rex turns to see Anakin walk up, he smiles at his boyfriend. He's so happy to have him back, Anakin kisses Rex's cheek, prompting a happy hum from Rex.

"Did your hear about the mission with the ghost crew?" Rex raises an eyebrow.

"Yeah, of course I did. We are going to scout out a new planet for a base."

" Yeah! I'm so excited, I haven't been out in a while." Rex nods, he knows how antsy Anakin can get.

"Of course you can't wait, you just want to do something reckless." Anakin fake glare at Rex, then smiles sweetly.

"But you love me anyway, Rexster."

"Yes... Yes I do." Rex feels the guilt creep up on him, he still hasn't told Anakin that he's a Werewolf.

"Are you okay Rex?" Rex looks up, forcing a smile.

"Of course, but you better go pack. We're leaving soon." Anakin nods, deciding to leave Rex be. If something was bothering him Rex would have told him.

He heads off to pack his bag. Rex worries about the mission, he knows that he should tell Anakin, but how do you tell your husband that you're a monster.

He's been making sure to stay away from Anakin when he's transformed, he can transform at will but if he gets too mad he can't control it, not too mention transforming in his sleep.

He makes sure to leave the room when he wakes up transformed, the only reason Anakin hasn't seen him is because Anakin can sleep through just about everything.

He starts packing his bag, hoping that he can keep himself from transforming on this mission.

They land on a forest planet, walking out of the ghost and looking around. They are there because this planet has potential to be another base for the Rebels, but they want to check it out first.

"Okay, we are splitting up into teams. Ezra you go with Zeb, Sabine with Anakin and I'll go with Rex." They all nod, Anakin being a little sad that he's not with Rex but understands.

They all head in different directions, scouting out the planet. Rex and Kanan look around, making quiet conversation.

"This planet seems pretty safe." Rex turns to Kanan, he doesn't know why but something seems off.

"I know, but it seems off somehow. Haven't you noticed that there isn't any wildlife except plants." Kanan nods, Rex is right. This planet should be thriving with wildlife, but they've seen nothing but plants.

"You're right, maybe we should comm everyone and tell them to meet back at the ghost. They might have seen something we've missed."

"KANAN! Kanan come in!" Kanan and Rex both startle when they hear the comm, he answers it.

"Sabine! What's wrong."

"There was a giant monster! It bit Anakin and then ran off, we need your help." Kanan and Rex look at eachother.

"We're on our way." All Rex can think about is Anakin, he hopes that he's okay. He swears that he's going to kill that creature if it hurts Anakin.

"Kanan! Something's happening to Anakin, you need to come quick!" Sabine comms in frantically as Rex and Kanan are running, Rex is do scared that Anakin is going to get hurt. What does she mean that something is happening to him.

"We are coming as fast as we can, we are almost there." They keep running, finally getting to Sabine, but what they see stops the in their tracks.

A giant blond Werewolf is standing above her, as soon as it sees Rex it whimpers, ears pressing back. Rex doesn't understand why until he sees its eyes, the same piercing blue eyes of the man he loves.

"Anakin?"
