Fives x reader: Pumpkin's

"So, what is this for again?" Fives asks and you laugh as you start to cut open the small pumpkin sitting in front of you. You're sitting on the floor of your room, a tarp laying under you for the pumpkin guts.

"It's for Halloween Fives, now just take the knife and start cutting your pumpkin." He picks up a knife and starts cutting into the pumpkin, not understanding the point of cutting faces into an orange fruit and lighting it up with a candle, But he'll do anything for you.

"What exactly is Halloween?" You pause from doing the pumpkin and your smile fades a little, sometimes you forget that the clones never got a childhood.

"Well it's a holiday on Coruscant where one night a year kids dress up in costumes and knock on people's doors to get candy." Fives looks at you in surprise and shock.

"So strangers just give kids candy?" You laugh at how excited Fives sounds, it's so adorable.

"Yeah but you have to say trick or treat first or you don't get any candy. It's a really fun holiday." Fives looks at you as you rip the top off your pumpkin and start pulling the guts out, following right behind you with his own pumpkin

"So how do the pumpkins have anything to do with it?" You continue to scoop guts out as you explain to him.

"They're mostly for decoration and they're called jack-o'-lantern's. They can look however you want them to and they're just fun to make." Once your done you hand Fives marker.

"Use that to draw your face on the side you want to, then you can cut it out. You can make em scary or silly it's whatever you want." You watch Fives as he works, he's sticking the tip of his tongue out in concentration and you find it absolutely adorable. How did you ever find someone as cute and sweet as him to be your boyfriend.

You get started on your own pumpkin, already having an idea of what you want to do. You've decided to do a silly looking pumpkin this year instead of the usual scary one. It's got two wiggly, wavy eyebrows and a big smile.

You also think that you're going to cut a piece out of the extra pumpkin. You're going to stick it with a tooth pick in the mouth, so that the tongue is sticking out. It's also going to have two different sizes of eyes. Now that you've got the design thought out you start cutting into the face of your pumpkin.

"I'm done!" You turn to look at Fives and laugh, you should have known that he'd be done before you.

"Well are you going to show me?" You ask and he turns it towards you, it turns out that fives decided to go with a Scary/happy approach to his pumpkin with thick eyebrows and fangs twisted into a grin.

"I love it Fives, just give me a few minutes to finish mine up. " You hurry to finish yours, being careful not to wreck it.

Once you're done you turn and show it to Fives proudly. His smile gets really big and you can't help but smile as well.

"It looks great cyare, way better than mine." You smile and reassure him that his is just as good as yours.

"Well I love your's Fives, so now you just have to put a candle in it and we're done." You grab the little candles you'd gotten just for this and hand one to him.

He lights it and puts it in, looking excited to see what an actual jack-o'-lantern looks like.

"So what do we do with them now?" He asks and you decide that instead of putting them on your balcony, Fives should take them back to the barracks. It'll probably boost the moral of the men.

"Why don't you take them to the barracks, your brothers will probably love them." Fives smiles and kisses you on the forehead, he loves how sweet you are and how you treat his brothers as family.

"How did I ever end up with someone as sweet as you?" You laugh and kiss him on the tip of his nose. It's almost time for him to head back to the barracks to get ready for his next mission tomorrow, you hate having to watch him leave especially knowing that he might not return.

"I should be back soon, hopefully in time for Halloween." He tells you with a smile, hoping that the mission won't run long.

"Okay, I love you Fives."

"I love you to y/n." He gives you one last kiss as he picks up both of the pumpkins and leaves. You breath a sigh and thumb at your comlink, already wanting to call him.

It's been a few hours since he left and you're getting ready for bed when your comm goes off, you think that it's weird that Fives is calling you at this time of night.

"Hello?"

"Hey y/n, I was wondering by any chance, can you get some more pumpkins, my brothers ended up really liking the idea." You laugh, you figured that his brothers would end up liking them.

"Okay Fives, how many will you need?" You ask, you know that it's going to be a big number but what he says really surprised you.

"About 100."
