Arc Trooper Echo x reader Part two

The day Echo never returned from the Citadel was the day that you lost a piece of yourself. After that day the 501st would regularly check up on you, especially Rex and Fives.

It's been almost two years since you lost Echo and many things have happened since then. Fives got shot and almost died, he had been mysteriously drugged after Tup died. The Jedi are still looking into it and from what you've heard they might be on to something.

Rex and Fives are on a mysterious mission with General Skywalker that no one will tell you about. You still have the hand guard that Echo gave you, you keep it close to you at all times as a way to have Echo close.

Right now you're sitting with Jesse and Kix keeping you company while Fives is gone, you guys are sharing some nice memories of Echo When Kix has to leave since someone commed him.

"It's nice to talk about the good times with Echo."

"Yeah, it is. I can't believe he got up the guts to propose to you." You smile as you think about that night. You remember how nervous he was to propose to you and how happy you both were, you just wish that you could have gotten married like you had wanted to.

"Yeah, I was as surprised as you Jesse, but it was one of the happiest moments of my life." You're about to say more when Kix walks in. He looks really happy and worried at the same time, you wonder what the comm was about.

"Y/n, Rex commed and told me that him and Fives are on their way back, so he wants Jesse and I to bring you to the base here."

"Why do I need to go to the base, is something wrong?" You ask worried, you hope nothing happened to anyone, you swear that if Fives got himself hurt doing something stupid, you will kill him.

"No, nothing's wrong. It's just a surprise. Ok."

"Ok, I'm fine to go right now." You get up and head out with the boys taking your speeder. The whole way to the base you're wondering what's going on, it's not like Rex and Fives not to come and get you themselves.

You get to the base and as soon as you walk in Fives and Rex come running over to you.

"Y/n you're here."

"Yes I'm here Fives, now what's this surprise that Kix told me about." Five's and Rex hlglancr nervously at eachother and you wonder again what this surprise is and why is it making them so worried.

"Just follow us y/n, your surprise is in another room." You look at Rex as he starts walking and just shrug and follow him, you look behind you to see Fives, Kix and Jesse whispering to eachother.

Rex is leading you through the halls of the base, there are trooper's all around you like usual except this time they keep looking at you nervously and whispering to eachother and you can't help but feel nervous about what this surprise might be.

You and Rex come to a door, and he turns to look at you.

"Your surprise is in here y/n, just be careful with him, he's still weak." That baffle's you, he? They better not be setting you up with someone, Rex starts opening the door.

"Rex, you better not be setting me up with someone because if you ar—." You freeze as soon as you see him. He's changed since the last time you saw him, he's way to pale and skinny and you can see little round plug things in his bald head but it's Echo. Your Echo.

You feel tears come to your eyes as he stares at you, you run and hug him so fast that he falls against the wall with a clunk! You feel him hug you back with one arm as you sob against him. You try to speak but you just sob even harder.

You can hear Echo whisper in your ear and you can't believe that you're hearing his voice again, after what feels like hours you finally compose yourself enough to speak.

"I-I can't believe that you're alive."

"I know cyare, I can't believe it either." You pull away a little and get a chance to fully look Echo over and what you see makes your blood boil. You can see that from the waist down he's robotic, he's wearing a long sleeved civilian shirt right now but you can see the robotic Pat's running from his neck down along his spine.

You look down and can see that his right arm is also robotic and looks like a droid socket arm. The whole time that you are looking him over he's just watching you nervously.

"It's worse underneath the shirt, cyar'ika." He tells you, scared that you might not love him now that he's more robotic, but you just smile and cup his cheek as you look him in his eyes.

"I don't care about what happened to you, the only thing I care about is that you finally made it back home." He chuckles at you and grab's the hand the that's holding his cheek and leans into it.

"It's just like you said cyare, I always make it back home to you." You smile at him and pull him into a long and needy kiss, knowing that you and him will never part again.
