Ben wanted to talk to Lana about the night of Rowan's death, and why she was there. Merula didn't know, and of course, was angry. Charlie interrupted and dragged her to the Hogsmeade train station, saying it was a surprise.

"Bill!" Lana said excitedly as she saw the tall Weasley boy at the station, crushing him into a hug.

"Surprise!" he grinned once they'd parted.

"Are you surprised? You are! I know you are!" Charlie grinned.

"I thought after our last lesson you were to be away on Gringotts business for some time." Lana told Bill.

"It's true that Gringotts has been working me like a house-elf recently. Though I haven't had to recover any more goblin treasures from a dragon if that's what you're asking." he said.

"So is it a Gringotts assignment that's brought you here?"

"No, but I finished my mast assignment early so I thought I'd make a proper visit. Let me tell you why."

Bill was back at Hogwarts to help the others, him being sad that Rowan had been murdered. He surprised his brothers later that day, before they let slip about the Circle of Khanna. He asked what it was about, so Lana, Ben and Merula filled him in on it.

He told them that they were return to the spot where Rowan died in the Forbidden Forest. Right now, he was teaching everyone in the Circle of Khanna more defensive spells in the DADA classroom.

"Brilliant work, everyone! Keep practising!" he said encouragingly, "You've assembled quite the army here, Lana." he told the girl.

"Yeah, they've been working really hard to develop skills and know, edge to strengthen our group."

"I'm leading a group that's studying curses dark artefacts." Merula grinned.

"My group is focused on duelling skills." Ben said.

"The twins are with the group working on disguises and concealment charms. And Charlie's group is training marine creatures to combat the grindylows in the black lake." Lana told Bill.

"Also you're certain the final vault is in the lake?"

"Not certain, but Badeea and Talbott are mapping the lakeshore area so we're ready for anything."

"And do you feel ready for when we go to investigate the scen of Rowan's murder later?" Bill asked again.

"Not exactly. How do I prepare to go back to the spot where I watched my friend die?" Lana asked sadly.

"Rely on me, I'll get you through it. I believe the key to finding Rakepick could be at that crime scene."

"I think it's completely mad that we!re going back there." Merula said.

"Are you sacred, Merula?" Ben asked.

"You can't ask me that! You used to be a walking advertisement for fear!"

"The last vault changed me. Not even Rowan's death can change me back."

"You never did tell me exactly what led you three to the forest grove that night." Bill told them.

"We'll tell you everything." Lana said.

Lana explained the letter to Jacob that asked him to meet 'R' at the forest grove, and how he never showed up. Bill urged Lana to try and reach normality again, which led her to thinking of a certain exchange student.

"Olá, my friend!" Alanza grinned as Lana sat next to her in the Great Hall, Liz and Barnaby opposite, "Welcome to lunch!"

"You make it sound like a party." Lana chuckled.
