Climbing the winding staircase up to the Owlery, Lana's head began to swirl with conflicting thoughts about the whole ordeal. What if she didn't make it back alive? What would Barnaby do if she didn't come back? Although she was quite scared, she had to do this. For Rowan, and for her everyone's sake. She finally reached the top, and exhaled deeply before stepping inside.

"Tonks? Tonks are you here?" the brunette asked aloud, her dark eyes scanning the feather filled room.

"Be gone, wretched student! Yeh have no business 'ere!" an unfamiliar voice called from the shadows.

Lana quickly drew her wand, staying as calm as she could manage. "What—? You're the one that doesn't belong at Hogwarts."

"Are you so sure about that?" the voice asked, this time Lana was approached by a scary-looking blonde witch in dark robes, "...Lana."

"Tonks? Bloody hell, you surprised me!" Lana gasped, realising it was only her metamorphmagus friend.

"I told you that gag would catch her off guard." another voice spoke.

"What? Jae, is that you?" Lana asked, turning around with a frown as she couldn't see him.

"It is. But you didn't even know I was here because I'm wearing the invisibility cloak." Jae replied.

"Jae insisted we pull that stunt." Tonks said, chuckling slightly.

"I'm sure he did..." Lana said dully.

"You're about to drink a polyjuice potion, transform into your sworn enemy, and walk us into the meeting of a dark wizard cabal. Don't tell me you're pissed about a little prank, Lana?" Jae asked.

"'Course I'm not mad." Lana chuckled, "You're my team and you're here, so if anything I'm relieved. Besides, a little humour to lighten the mood is always appreciated. Especially with what we're about to do..." she added, a small chill running down her spine.

"I'm glad you feel that way." Tonks grinned, still disguised as the dark witch, "I thought showing you just how convincing my metamorphmagus skills are was a good idea."

"Tonks is quite convincing." Jae confirmed, "And I knew you'd be ok with a bit of a scare. Lana and I like a good laugh."

"Wait, what about Talbott? Wasn't he supposed to meet us?" Tonks asked.

"Talbott is ready for the mission. He'll be keeping more of a bird's-eye watch at Knockturn Alley." Lana told her, nodding up towards Talbott in his eagle-form, perched on one of the beams.

"Bird's-eye?" Jae asked, confused.

"I just mean he's on his way there and will stay out of sight." Lana clarified.

"Then all that's left for you to do is to drink the potion." he told her.

"Are you ready for what happens when you do, Lana?" Tonks asked.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. But I know I have to do it." Lana grimaced, pulling out the vile of polyjuice and examining it in her hand.

"Drinking it sounds grim. But what's the worst that could happen, eh?" Tonks asked.

"Plus, we've got your back." Jae added.

"Thanks, guys." Lana smiled, "Well, then..." she said, opening the bottle, "Down the hatch!" and with that, she gulped down the whole potion, gagging as the effects took place.

She felt her body changing, her height increasing, but it was over in a split second. She scanned her eyes over her new form...the familiar dragon hide boots, the grey cloak, the white gloves, the fiery orange hair...she was Patricia Rakepick.
