Lana had met up with Moody, who made her duel him to test her strength. He informed her that a dark wizard from 'R' had escaped custody and was after her. Mad-Eye also told her to keep her friends close, and that she needed to have a everyone close to her who would have her back, and her immediate thought was Barnaby.

He always had her back, he always protected her, and he was the first one she would go to when she felt scared and vulnerable. She needed to talk to him, and soon.

Divination class had just begun, and Lana was a bit late, and the only seat available was the one opposite Barnaby at the front of the room.

"Hi..." she mumbled as she sat down. He just looked at her and gave a small smile, before focusing on Madame Trelawney.

"Welcome back to divination class! Today we shall be—wait, something disturbing has entered my sight!" Trelawney gasped, startling the whole room, "I see an escape...a threat...freedom..." she said, squinting her eyes shut and placing her fingers to her temple, "My inner eye is showing me that a dark wizard escaped Auror custody and has been sighted nearby..."

Lana's heart began to race as her eyes widened. How did Trelawney know that? Barnaby flicked his eyes over at Lana and noticed her demeanour change. He was about to ask her if she was ok when Ismelda's sour voice interrupted him.

"I saw the same thing on the cover of today's Daily Prophet. Rita Skeeter already broke the story."

"But of course, I knew that! I foresaw the escapee would be today's headline. That's why, for today's class, you should divine new insights from this story rather than read the Quibbler." Trelawney said, "Now, concentrate on this story and see what insights you can gain."

After class, Lana stayed behind as everyone was leaving, worrying about the escapee and contemplating whether to leave the school or not. Barnaby was still talking to Tonks and Chiara when he saw her looking worried by herself. Tonks noticed as well, and the three of them approached her.

"What's wrong, Lana? Worried about the missing dark wizard too?" Tonks asked her.

"More or less..." she answered.

"I bet it'll make you feel better if you talk to one of us about it." Barnaby smiled. Lana smiled gratefully at him.

"I guess I wouldn't mind talking to you, if that's alright..." Lana told him.

"S-Sure, I can help."

"Not to worry, Lana. You're in good hands." Tonks winked before she and Chiara left them to it.

"Hi." Lana chuckled.

"Hi." Barnaby said, grinning sheepishly, "What's wrong, Lana?"

"I'm thinking of leaving Hogwarts."

"What?! But you can't!" Barnaby cried in protest.

"I might not really have a choice." Lana told him.

"I-I don't understand. Is it something to do with this dark wizard that escaped custody?"

"Let's just say that leaving might be the best way to keep everyone safe." Lana said, eyebrows furrowing into a sad expression.
