Richie Tozier's POV
I held Eddie's hand through the whole walk to the cliff. Ben and Beverly were standing as close as they could. I've never seen Bill talk to someone for so long without a stutter. Bill and Stan were acting like they've known each other for years.
We all stood on the edge of the cliff. "What do we do now?" Eddie questioned. I smiled as wide as I could. I took off my graphic t-shirt, my shitty jeans, my shoes and my socks as fast as I could. "This is what we do." I ran up to the edge and jumped in. I could hear Eddie gasp and call my name as I hit the water.
The water was cold. I swam up to the surface and waved at stunned Eddie. "Come on!" I shouted as a swam further into the water.
Beverly was next. She took off her light blue tank top, her black shorts and jumped. She cheered in the air and hit the water with a big splash.
Ben came next. He removed his bright yellow shirt and his light blue jeans. Ben silently jumped off the cliff. Beverly cheered for him.
I looked up to see Eddie nervously walking back and forth. Stan and Bill were taking off their clothes together. Bill grabbed Stan's hand and they jumped off the cliff hand in hand. I smiled at the pair.
"Come on Eds! You can do it!" I yelled. Eddie looked up from the ground and sighed. I could see him slightly nod and start to take off his shirt. He took forever. He folded his bright red shirt and placed it on ground. His white shorts came off too. He folded those and placed them next to the folded shirt. Eddie's hands were clasped in front of him and he was visibly shaking.
I knew what I had to do. "Wait!" I shouted at Eddie. I quickly swam to the shore and ran up the cliff.
"It'll be fine Eds, okay?" I reassured. He nodded, but he didn't look convienced. "Everyone did just fine. None of them are hurt. They're all okay, you can do it too. I know you can." I said. I placed my hand under his chin and softly kissed his lips. They felt swollen in under mine, it was obvious he was chewing his lip.
I could hear a shout of ews from the group in the lake, I smiled against Eddie's lips. "Jump with me?" I asked. Eddie silently nodded.
I held Eddie's hand and took a step closer to the ledge. Eddie's grip on my hand tightened.
"Ready?" I asked. "Just do it before I back out." Eddie stated. "Alright, alright. One. Two. Three!" I tightly held onto Eddie's hand and jumped.
I could hear Eddie scream next to me before we hit the water.
When our heads popped out if the water I heard cheers. They were cheering for Eddie. I smiled, my friends liked him so much already. Eddie feels like a part of the group already.
"You did it Eds!" I said as I gave him a hug. "Yeah. I did." Eddie said, he was out of breath.

We swam until we got tired. Eddie seemed to have forgotten about how he was skipping school to swim in a nasty lake.
They all sat at the shore of the lake. Beverly was laying on the rocky sand with a smiley Ben laying next to her. Stan was sharing his love of birds to Bill who was listening to every single word. Eddie was leaning against me as our backs were against a large rock. "I-I have a question. It's kind of dumb though." Eddie admitted. "There are no dumb questions here Eddie." I pointed out.
"Do... Do you want to do this?" Eddie asked. I didn't quit understand. "What do you mean?" I questioned. "Do you want to like... Be together?" Eddie shyly asked. "Of cosurse I do Eds. I thought that was pretty obvious." I said. I thought the kiss made it obvious I wanted him.
"I was just making sure." Eddie stated. Instead of responding, I kissed Eddie. I felt Eddie smile and wrap his hand around my neck. "Hey! Not here. No. No. No! I'm not watching my best friend do that." Stan shouted. Eddie chuckled and kissed my cheek. "Get used to it bird boy." I teased.
