BEVERLY'S POV
Stan quietly shut the van door and looked at the rest of us. "That's everything. Richie and Eddie are ready to go." Stan said. An emotion I've never felt crashed over me. This is it. Richie and Eddie are leaving. Yeah, I might be dramatic. I'll visit them and they'll visit me. But, they won't be next door, they'll be many towns away.
I sighed and looked at the giddy boys. I would be angry, upset, and overall pissed off. But, the smiles on their faces push all the anger away. They deserve to do what they want and live out their dreams. If this is their dream they better fucking do it.
I walk over to Richie and engulfed him in a hug. He's been my best friend since sixth grade. He witnessed a group of girls dump trash on me in the lunch room. After I ran off to the bathroom, he followed me. Normally, I would be creeped out by a boy following me to the girls restroom. But, there was something about Richie that made it less awkward. He told me a couple jokes and helped me get the grabage out of my hair. He made my day ten times better. I was suprised when he came to talk to me the day after. I thought it was a one time thing, I'm happy that it wasn't.
Richie wrapped his arms around my waist and tightly hugged back. "Don't tell anyone else. But, I'll miss you the most." Richie whispered. I lightly chuckled, "I promise." I pulled away but still had a tight grip on Richie's shoulders.
"Promise me you'll call me, text me, and visit me whenever you can?" I asked. "I double pinky promise." Richie reassured. I smiled and ruffled his already messy hair.
I turned to Eddie. "I would be mad at you for stealing my best friend, but how can I be mad at a face like that?" I pinch Eddie's cheeks and tightly hugged him. "I'll miss you too short stuff." I said. Eddie sarcastic laughed, "I'm not that short." Eddie complained. "Whatever you say shortie." I teased.
I let everyone else say their goodbyes, I can't hog the two boys.
Stan's goodbye to Eddie made everyone emotional. Even Richie shed a tear.
Once everyone gave the two boys a hug we all stood in silence. "T-This isn't good-goodbye." Bill stated. "W-We'll see y-y-you soon." Bill reassured the two boys.
Richie smiled and blew a kiss in the air towards the group. I grinned at the silly boy. "Love you all." Richie said as he got in the driver's seat. "Don't forget about us." Eddie winked and got into the passenger's seat.
We watched the large van drive away.
"Stupid boys." I whispered loud enough for the group to hear. "Our stupid boys." Stan said. I smiled and looked at Stan, "Our stupid boys." I confirmed.
