Uenoyama sits in the living room on the couch, awaiting Mafuyu to return home. He displays a face of sadness to practice the "perfect prank" he came up with for April Fools Day.
He hears the door unlock and open, and immediately looks to the floor. Mafuyu walks into the apartment and sits his stuff down by the door.
"Uenoyama-kun, I'm home," Mafuyu calls, not seeing Uenoyama sitting on the couch.
"Uenoyama-kun..?"
"Mafuyu.. come here for a sec," Uenoyama mumbles in a low tone.
Mafuyu walks over to the couch and looks at Uenoyama sitting with his head in his hands. "What's up?" Mafuyu asks.
Uenoyama pats to the space next to him, indicating for Mafuyu to sit down. Mafuyu slowly sits down, with a feeling of concern rising in his stomach. Mafuyu stufied Uenoyama's silence, trying to understand what was about to happen.
"Uenoyama-kun.." He mumbles.
Uenoyama looks to Mafuyu and says, "We need to break up..."
Mafuyu widens his eyes and sits straight up, processing the words that just escaped from Uenoyama's mouth.
"I- I don't understand. What did I do?" Mafuyu stumbles on his words, his voice cracking.
"I just.. I don't- I don't believe that you're over Yuki."
Mafuyu was taken aback, and places his hand on Uenoyama's shoulder. "I'm never going to be completely over Yuki, but I love you more than I ever loved Yuki, Uenoyama-kun," he reassures.
Uenoyama flicks Mafuyu's hand off his shoulder and looks away from him. "Maybe you should leave..." he whispers.
Mafuyu begins to tear up and chokes a bit. He stands up slowly and walks over to the door, pausing for a minute to look at Uenoyama.
"Mafuyu," Uenoyama rushes before Mafuyu can leave. "I have something to say to you before you go," Uenoyama stands up and walks over in front of Mafuyu.
"What..?" Mafuyu cries.
Uenoyama takes a deep breath in and out, and makes eye contact with Mafuyu. "April Fools," he chuckles.
"Wait.. what?" Mafuyu asks confused.
"I pranked you," Uenoyama chuckles once more.
Mafuyu laughs slightly as tears continue to roll down his cheeks and pushes Uenoyama a little bit. He hugs into him and mutters, "I was so scared. Don't do that to me ever again."
Uenoyama strokes Mafuyu's hair, leaning his head on top of his and says, "I won't ever leave you."
