I remembered. I knew who I was. My name was Caleb Wolfe, I was 17 years old and I was the spirit. Lilly got up completely healed. "You're back!" she said. I ran to her hand hugged her tightly. I was close to tears with happiness. "Lilly! oh Lilly I missed you so much without even realizing it!" A tear rolled down her face. I wiped it and hugged her. Then looked at my friends.

"Are you good?" Jason asked looking worried. I smiled, "Guys, I remember who I am I remember everything. Some things are hazy but other than that, I know who I am." Zoe hugged me. "I'm so proud! Congratulations!" I looked at Lilly and she grinned.

"Guys this is Lilly she's literally my best friend. Lilly this is Zoe, she's an empath, this is Anthony, he's telekinetitc, and this is Jason, he's a sorcerer." She nodded and smiled at them. Anthony shook her hand. "It's such a priviledge to meet you." He said. Lilly looked confused.

"Thank you but may I ask why?" He laughed. "You're only the most powerful supernatural in the world." She looked surprised. And looked at me with questioning eyes. I ran my hand through my hair. "Oh, about that guys-" Then suddenly a huge crack ripped through the cave. Jason spun and muttered some words under his breath. "That's only gonna hold us for a few more minutes." He said.

"Like I was saying guys.. Lilly isn't the spirit. I am." Anthony gasped and Jason looked at me with such a shocked expression. Then the cracks along the wall started forming. "Lilly is there another way out?" Zoe asked.

She looked panicked. "The only way out is up." I felt stronger and more powerful than ever before. I cracked my knuckles. "Well this shouldn't be a problem for me." I raised my hands and brought the earth to me. the rocks and soil tumbled down on us.

This was a problem so I started to just pushing the soil upwards until it exploded and daylight streamed down on us. More cracks appeared in the wall. "Everyone stay  close to me." I said and influenced the soil under our feet I pulled it upward pushing us through the hole.

Just when the imps broke through snarling and jumping. I quickly covered over the hole and regrew the grass so that it looked like nothing happened. we were on the muddy path. "We have to go somewhere. Where?" I said.

Jason shrugged. "You're the one who lives here you tell us." I looked at Lilly, "My memory's not perfect yet can you take us somewhere?" She nodded smiling. "How does home sound?" I nodded agressively. "Yes!"

We ran to the car with Zoe monitoring the imps' progress. "They're still far away. Their emotional energy is weak." She said and we finally made it to the car. Anthony threw Lilly the keys. "You should drive." She caught them with lightening quick reflexes. I jumped in the passenger side and we tore down the street.

We drove through the small town quickly and I recognized some of the buildings. The pizza shop on the corner, the old elementary school. Everything came back to me. "So Lilly can you tell me what happened to me?" She looked sad.

Anthony, Zoe, and Jason leaned forward in anticipation. "How much do you remember?" She asked in a shaky voice. I waved to the mailman whom I recognized. He dropped his mail in shock and waved back. "We were on a beach and a girl named Dakota came and she was trying to kill us. Nothing after that."

Lilly winced. "Yeah.. We were walking on the beach like you said and you were venting to me about spirit training and Dakota found us. She must've just heard that you were the second spirit. She wasn't too happy with that, she wanted to be the only one. She was convinced that there could only be one spirit and that in order to get what she wanted, you would have to die so she tried to kill you. You put up a good fight I'll say"

"But she caught you offguard for a moment. Just a moment and there was this horrible dark energy flying at you. It struck you square in the chest and threw you backwards. When you landed you hit your head on a rock." She drew a deep breath and continued. "And your eyes looked so empty. Then you closed them and stopped breathing." She was shaking. "I thought you were dead Caleb. Dakota was already walking away when you took another breath. You breathed out and this weird shimmering gold thing came out of your mouth."

"It stabilized and turned into you then faded away. You were still lying there though but you were so still. I tried to wake you up but there was nothing that would wake you. I was scared and alone on that beach so I carried you up the hill to the cave because it's full of spiritual energy and put you in the farthest room hoping that Dakota wouldn't come back and make sure her job was done."

"Then I ran to your house and told your family. They came to visit you and told me the cave was the safest place for you because you were in a very vulnerable state. What happened according to your grandmother was the impact separted you from your body. It's a survival mechanism the spirit's possess. Originally it's just that your body goes into hibernation while it heals itself but the nature of your injury was more severe."

I let her story sink in. Zoe was crying softly. "My god.. that must have been horrible." She said. We pulled onto a long country road. Towering pines leaned over us and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Life felt good. Then more questions popped into my mind. I put my feet up on the dash. An old habit that stuck.

"So who's Dakota?" Anthony asked saying it before I could. Lilly sighed. "Dakota is the dark spirit, she's also my sister." I gasped. "You have a sister?" She looked at me with a blank expression. "Yeah." We turned onto a dusty dirt road and I started to get excited. This was my road!

I took my feet off the dash and grinned at my friends. "This is my road!" Lilly pulled out her phone. "They're all expecting you Caleb. I texed everyone even Gavin's going to be there." I jumped with happiness and excitement. "Gavin! I missed him so much!" Lilly laughed. "Yeah he was helping me look over you a lot."

Then we pulled into a driveway. At the end of it stood a large white house on a hill with a fence and cows. The river cut out the bottom of the hill like a beautiful ribbon. I felt an ache in my heart. I was home.
