At Disha's house

Mrs. Adhikari looked at Rai, Trina and Disha. She smiled. "Come inside all of you."

Both Rai and Trina declined her offer. But what was the use of it?

"It's so hot outside. Come in. I will bring something to drink. Don't leave the house without telling me."

Both the girls gave up and listened to their aunty.

Today, Disha wasn't in herself. Mrs. Adhikari pulled Rai to the kitchen and asked what happened to her daughter.

Rai hesitated, but ended up recounting the whole incident.

Mrs. Adhikari took a step back and put her right hand on her chest in shock and fear. She looked at Disha, sighed in relief and thanked god.

"Aunty, don't worry. It's all thanks to Sarmistha and her quick reflex."

Mrs. Adhikari nodded her head vigorously. "Thank you Rai for telling me about this incident. Now go and talk to her. I will bring the drinks."

"Aunty, let me help you."

"It's okay. You asked me, I am more than happy. Now leave the kitchen."

"I.."

"Shh! Go."

Rai smiled and walked out of the kitchen.

Trina gave her a questioning look. Rai had a 'DON'T ASK ME NOW. JUST LOOK AFTER DISHA.' expression. She walked to Disha and sat beside her on the sofa.

A few days later; two days before the Unit Exams

The previous week, Trina, Disha, Sanchita, Rai, Ankita, Divya and Sarmistha decided a group study. They planned to study properly, but ended up gossiping and having fun. The only people who studied a bit were Sarmistha and Ankita.

Mrs. Adhikari stood outside Disha's room and heard a few noises. Instead of knocking on the door or entering the room, she stood still outside and eavesdropped. Aha! So they are gossiping instead of studying! Just you wait. She knocked on the door and entered the room.

When they heard the knock on the door, they turned silent.

Rai grabbed a random book and opened it. The book was held upside-down though. Trina looked at them in confusion. Disha threw a notebook at Trina and took one notebook herself. Divya was sleeping and Sanchita started reading a few lines from the book loudly. Rai looked impressed and opened her mouth to say something, when Trina smacked her.

"Bitch!" Rai said loudly.

Divya threw her pouch at Rai, who turned to her and glared hatefully.

Meanwhile, Sarmistha was busy in teaching Ankita how to solve the questions and also talked about the character sketch of a few characters.

*creak*

The door opened and Mrs. Adhikari entered with some snacks and refreshments.

Disha smiled at her mother. "Thank you maa."

Mrs. Adhikari smiled at them sweetly.

Rai's heart sank. Trina noticed the sudden change in Rai's expression and turned serious as well.

"I am keeping them here. Don't forget to eat, okay?"

Sanchita looked at the snacks and blurted out, "Don't worry aunty. We weren't studying anyway."

Everyone looked at her in unison, ready to snap that neck of her's.

Sanchita realized what she said and bite her tongue. She gave a fake laugh.
