During the tuition

Sarmistha wore green kurta with white slacks. She had her hair tied in a high ponytail. She stood in front of the blackboard and wrote a few points on it with the white chalk.

"This part is important. Remember these points." Sarmistha tapped on the board and stood at the side of the blackboard so that the students could jot down the points.

It was quite hot today. She was sweating a lot even when the fan was working. She waited for them to finish writing and sat on her seat for the meantime. She fanned herself with the notebook, but it wasn't working. She cracked her knuckles and opened her hair. She then rummaged through her side-bag and found the clatcher. She tied her hair into a messy bun, but still looked beautiful.

"Finished writing?"

"10 seconds."

"Okay."

After 20 seconds, she erased everything with the duster and explained the next part.

*vv vv vv vv*

Sarmistha's phone rang.

"The Mughals then......" She explained the whole thing and ended the class.

She returned to her seat and looked at her phone.

[5 missed calls]

5 missed calls? Who is this? Maa?

She clicked on it and read the name. She was surprised. Disha?

She started thinking about all the possible situations and slapped her forehead. Calm down Sarmistha, calm down. She called her and pursed her lips; excited and nervous.

"Hello."

"Disha?"

"Misti, are you busy?"

"No. Why?"

"I was calling you, but no one received the call. Oh! Listen to me. I am thinking of planning a night stay."

"Huh?" Sarmistha had a comical look on her face.

Disha said excitedly. "Night stay at my house. This weekend."

"Hello! Hello?"

Sarmistha gulped and asked, "Are you sure? Who will be there?"

"Rai, Trina, Sanchita and you."

"This weekend?"

"Yes!"

"Sanchita will be busy in the wedding and Trina will go to Alipore Zoo."

Disha slapped her forehead and said, "Oh yes! I completely forgot about this. Then what should I do? Actually, mom agreed to this already. If I cancel it now, who knows when I will get the next chance? Maybe, never!" She sounded upset at the end.

"Let me ask my mom and dad."

"Okay."

"Rai will be there?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Try to convince aunty. It's been so long."

"Ok." Sarmistha smiled and hung up on her. Rai will be there. Sigh. I am happy and sad. Weird!

Sarmistha erased the board and opened another subject. She waited for 10 minutes.

"Good evening ma'am."

Sarmistha smiled at her students and greeted them. "Good evening."
