Sonic movie 1999: Penny's Adventure

Chapter Six

"Thanks for saving us there, Knuckles!" Sonic grinned at the red echidna that stood before them. Penny smiled at him. "Yeah! Thanks!"

Knuckles smirked. "Yeah, that's one more job I won't get paid for. But I've known you for a while. So I'll just put it on your tab, and you can pay me back later on."

"So you're going back to treasure hunting now?" Tails asked curiously.

"Of course!" Knuckles smiled, motioning to the bag strapped across his back. "Treasure hunting is my absolute favorite past time!" He turned to look at the sun, and Penny, Tails, and Sonic turned to see that it was setting in the clouds. Knuckles placed on a pair of sunglasses.

"The sun's already setting!" Tails said, sweat dropping a little. "We're starting to run out of time!!"

"That's not good..." Penny whimpered. Knuckles looked ahead. "What's that?" He asked. From the light of the setting sun, Penny could just make out the scenery of a village.

"That must be Robotropolis!" Tails said.

"We found it!" Penny exclaimed in excitement.

"Yaaheere!" Sonic said.

Sonic, Tails, and Penny turned to Knuckles. "I hope to see you again soon, Knuckles!" Sonic said. Penny smiled at the echidna. "Thanks once again!"

"We'll see you later, Knuckles!" Tails said. Sonic grabbed Penny in his arms and took off, and Tails flew close behind. They were flying for a while when Penny saw a familiar red shape at her right. "Knuckles!" She exclaimed in shock. "I couldn't send you guys into that place alone." He exclaimed as he flew alongside them. He shot her a thumbs up. "Let's go!" He flew ahead, and Tails and Penny giggled.

"Come on, what are we waiting for?" Knuckles called. "We've gotta get moving before that robot generator is going to explode!"

"Wait up, Knuckles!" Sonic yelled. He gripped Penny closer to him as he flew after the Echidna, with Tails close behind.

Soon, they finally arrived in an eerie, greenish-dark hallway.

"So this must be the utterance to Robotropolis." Sonic said.

"Creepy..." Penny muttered, hugging herself and standing close to Sonic, who nodded in agreement.

"I never expected Robotnic to live in such an amazing place!" Tails said. Knuckles glanced at Sonic, Penny, and Tails. "Careful," He warned. "You don't want to get too blown away!"

"You're right." Sonic said. He picked Penny up again and dashed forward. "Come on, let's go!"

"We're on the right track," Tails said, checking his communicator. "Just keep going straight!"

"Got it!" Sonic said.

"I'm getting seriously pumped up about this, Sonic!" Knuckles called to the blue speedster. "Just don't enjoy yourself so much you let your guard down!" Sonic warned Knuckles as they ran. Penny kept her hold on Sonic.

"I'll be fine!" Knuckles reassured Sonic. He was stopped in his tracks by an explosion.

"KNUCKLES!" Penny yelped in fright. She shrieked again as another explosion accidentally knocked her away from Sonic, but luckily Sonic grabbed her before she lost them. "Leave these guys to me!" Knuckles said. "You go on ahead!"

"Be careful, Knuckles!" Penny called. Knuckles nodded at her.

"All right, good luck!" Sonic called back. He left Penny on the he zoomed off with Tails close behind. They finally made it to the generator, and Penny's eyes widened. They were about to go and disable it, but the conveyor belt below started moving. Sonic yelped, "Tails!" Sonic called to the fox, who was straining against the belt as well. "Come on! Grab Penny and fly!"
