When they finally got to safety, Penny wrapped her arms around Old Man Owl, comforting him as he cried after their startling plane experience. "Hey, it's okay! We're safe now, thanks to Sonic!" She said.

"Hey, Old Man." Sonic said, trying to get the owl's attention. When the owl continued crying, Penny shrugged at Sonic. Sonic looked down to see a crab walking along side them, and a smirk played on the hedgehog's face. Penny's eyes widened slightly as he picked up the crab and moved it towards Old Man. The crab walked up and gave the owl a pinch on the toes, causing Old Man Owl to yelp, and Sonic and Tails giggled.

"How heartless could you two boys be sometimes?!" Penny scolded her two friends, crossing her arms as she watched the crab leave. "I mean, honestly!" Sonic ignored her, and turned to Old Man Owl. "Old Man, those things are dangerous!" He said. "Stop riding them!"

"What are you talking about, Mr. Sonic?" Old Man Owl asked. "I know how to handle them! I realize I'm a little older now, but back in my day I was quite the racer! Believe me, I was pretty popular with the ladies!" And with that, he burst out laughing. Penny just rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Mr, did you say you had some urgent business?" Tails asked the owl.

"FINALLY." Penny grumbled, and Sonic chuckled.

"All right." Old Owl said, waving his wings a little. "It's a real emergency! You see, the President..." He turned to look at Sonic, Tails, and Penny, then completely flipped around in a panic. He sighed. "The President...."

Sonic looked at the Old Man Owl. "He want us to go to the President's house right away!" Sonic guessed. Old Man Owl nodded. "Yes! Yes! Please hurry!" He pleaded.

"You know," Sonic smirked. "It might have been easier if you just called to tell us that!"

Old Man Owl chuckled sheepishly. "You're right... I could've done that."

"It wasn't your fault." Penny said comfortingly, shooting Sonic a small glare. "You did the right thing, coming here to warn us."

Before they had left, the fourteen year old had remembered to change out of her bathing suit to a pink T shirt and light blue shorts and blue sneakers before leaving. The girl was clinging to the top wing of the Tornado. She sat close to Sonic, who stood on the hood of the wing.

It had taken some time, but Penny had finally convinced Sonic to let her come. There was no way she was going to stay around doing nothing. Especially when the President might be in danger. She also didn't want to be alone with Old Man Owl, being forced to listen to his stories of the past and how popular he was. So, Sonic allowed her to come, only on one condition: let the guys do the tough stuff.

Penny had frowned at that, but eventually had to agree with that plan. As much as she didn't like not being able to help, she had to follow Sonic's orders. All Sonic wanted was for her to be safe, and he wouldn't forgive himself is she had gotten hurt. So as long as she stayed out of the way, she would be fine.

"Old Man, take care of the place while we're gone!" Sonic called to the owl, who was waving his hankie in the wrong direction.

"Of course!" Old Man Owl called. "You can count on me!"

"Sure he can." Sonic sweat dropped. He turned to Tails and Penny. "Are you ready, guys?"

"Right!" Tails shot Sonic a thumbs up. He pressed a few buttons, and the Tornado shot in the air.

"Bon Voyage, kids!" Old Man Owl called after them, waving his hankie.
