Chapter 16 ~ As You Wish

" As You Wish. "

And the fight began.. .

Giving no time to spar Faylinn quickly attacked him. Thrusting the sword forward. Kato immediately leaned backwards avoid the attack by a few centimetres, the edge of the sword cutting small pieces of his hair.

As the sword pulled back he sprung back forward. Lifting the sword up in a protective manner. Faylinn did the same, stepping back a few steps. They circle each other, slowly crossing one step over the other one.

Taking a large step forward Kato readied his sword to attack her. Swinging it across her body. Faylinn put her sword up to block it. Making a loud clashing sound as the metal hit against each other.

Taking a small step backwards because of the force he put into the swing. She gritted her teeth. She swung her sword at his feet in response making him jump in the air, avoiding his legs getting sliced through.

Kneeling on the ground and sword in her grip to the side, Kato took his sword raised it above his head, as he came down from his jump, the sword did as well. Faylinn looked up quickly before rolling off to the side. Kato's sword went through the ground cleanly. Making a deep, clean cut in the ground.

Faylinn rose to her feet in a quick scramble. Kato pulled his sword from the dirt and ran towards Faylinn while his hair turned darker, his dark forest green eyes shined and his sword went dark.

" Aaaaaahhh! " He screamed running towards her.

Her eyes widen. Her fighting stance loosened at the scene she saw. Closer and closer. Kato switched to him and between a beast. A beast large dangerous. One that could tear her apart. Then it would switch back to Kato, then back the beast. Like her mind was trying to figure out who was the original being. As the it he approached it flickered faster and faster before settling on Kato who was thrusting the sharp blade forward.

Her mind snapped. Her golden eyes went bright as the stars in the sky before going black as the night before going back to its golden hues.

In this moment Kato was sure he had won, when he starting to come running after her, the way her position loosen just the tiniest he knew he won. He charged on. Sadly though, when he was only a few moments away from victory. She disappeared. She was gone. He froze in his spot.

His sword slightly tucked in as his elbows were bent. Him hunched over and leaning forward. It was a perfect stance for killing someone, but their was no one there. Abruptly standing up, sword up in defence. Inside he was panicking. Where did she go? He thought. How did she disappear? She couldn't have, could she?

He looked around frantically. No one can just disappear like that. Well, not a live being! Although panicking his face remained calm, but his breathing wasn't. How could it? His opponent just disappears on him!

The very soft footprints came up behind him, like walking but quickly progressed into a run.

Before he could even glance behind him the back of his calfs were cut. He dropped his word quickly, sucked in a painful gasp and fell forward. When he hit the ground he screamed in pain. An agonizing painful scream.

His hands gripped the grass as he tried to keep his screams at bay. Struggled gasps and groans escaped his lips trying to keep his composure, but that was all thrown away when the cool metal touched the bottom of his back. Slightly grazing of his skin as it went higher and higher up his back till the beginning of his neck. The metal stayed for what felt like an eternity but only for a few moments before some one said

" Let's dress you in a suit of scarlet and dance " a soft whisper, the softness of silk and hushness of the delicate voice made him forget where he was and what type of condition he was in for a moment.

By now his hair has gone back to its auburn colour, his eyes doing back to its memorizing forest green. His grip tightened. He struggled to say something in return but the only thing that came out was struggled groans.

The coolness of the metal left, unnoticed by him. But what was revealed to him was more pain. A blade move across his back in long agonizing line, making scream. Scarlet red blood oozed from the wound, the blade seemed to shine with it.

" Do you regret.. . " again the soft voice, yet it was so dark.

' regret what?!?!? ' He screamed into his mind. What would he regret in this situation? Right here, right now?

" Versing me, now? The feary, you challenged all because of the stupid rules of war. If you don't yet, then you will soon... " the soft part seem to be gone, it was only dark, like a demon had rose from within her. All the nice things were gone, all the sweet gestures were gone, everything that seemed nice or sweet was gone. The feary he was dealing with wasn't the ones you read from the stories, these Fearies were your darkest nightmare.

" Now, let's have some fun~, There is still plenty of blood to spill~ " Kato now only wished that this was all a dream.
