It was early in the morning sun was rising, people were talking and moving. Faylinn and Kato were rushing around getting ready for the patrol they had that morning. Rushing to get the equipment they needed and moving around and getting errands done for their superior.
As they finished the errands and getting the equipment for their teammates, they were given weapons that there're going to use. Faylinn a bow. Kato a sword. It was finally their time to fight.
~~~~ Faeries Kingdom ~~~~
Faylinn and Lucy were now leading a small group of faery soldiers through the forest. Her group was the one to check up on lakes that connected from the ocean to the lake. Luckily for her group their wasn't to many of them, only two lakes connected to the ocean. Faylinn had split her team in two, so that way they could stop any siren soldiers invading and taking them by surprise.
Her group wasn't large neither was it small. Her group had about ten soldiers excluding her, and they were all trainees from the camp she was at. Six men went to the other lake while four stayed with her, that's about six in both groups if you count Lucy.
" So, this will be our position for the rest of the war years? " Lucy asked a bit too excited.
" Maybe, but we mustn't let our guard down. Who knows they could be waiting for us to fly over that Lake and kill us. " Faylinn said to Lucy in a stern tone. The Lake they arrived at was familiar to her, could it be the place she visited last night? If so, she hoped for no bloodshed in such a beautiful place.
Faylinn never turned her back to the water. She just watched silently and watched it from a branch on a tree, bow ready in her hands. She had given orders to the others to stay hidden and stay silent and to be ready if something moved in the water. Łucy, who had decided that is was to boring just waiting there and flew of towards the lower ranked soldiers down by the meadow. Łucy liked to play pranks on others, no loved. She loved to play pranks on faeries.
~~~ Time Skip By Łucy's Pranks ~~~
It has been a few hours now. The sun was high, not a single cloud was able to be seen. Faylinn had left her post only to have left for food.
When she arrived down in the meadow her group had just finished making their lunch. The meal wasn't too heavy but wasn't to light. Also they were drenched. Why were they wet?
" Why are you all soaked? " Faylinn asks sitting on the soft grass, eating her meal.
" That companion of yours. She is the problem. She is always setting up those pranks of 'ers. " A soldier said groaning and shivering. It was obvious to tell that he was cold and wet.
" Speaking about her, where is she now? " Faylinn asked.
Where was she? Łucy was flying high above the lake only to be appearing light a ball of light from the point of view of the ocean. In a way being up there she was taking Faylinns post. She hadn't been up there in the air much longer then 5 minutes before spotting something under the water, it looked long and big. The bottom half looked dark and a black ish look to it also a bit shiny because of the scales. It's was nice and beautiful, but when it hit Łucy that it was a mermaid, she gasped clamping her small hands against her mouth. Then...
" FAYLINN. THE SIRENS ARE HERE. " Łucy screamed and flying at her fastest, towards Faylinn who was in the meadow.
Faylinn, could only really hear a faint yell but it soon came louder and louder. She looked to see who the voice belonged too only to realized that it was Łucy. Łucy was trying to catch her breath when she was trying to tell the soldiers, but she had able to finish. Faylinn immediately stood and gripped onto her bow, the other 4 in her group grabbed their swords handle and prepare to unsheathed their swords for the sake of bravery, protection, and bloodshed. Faylinn also called out commands and quickly returned to her post which she made. Her tiny spot was in the branches of the extremely tall tree, Leaves just starting change colour and a perfect spot to rest or kill people.
