Chapter 23 ~ Strawberry Cheesecake

After the first few periods were over it was finally lunch. I was so hungry and my head hurt from all the teachings. I stared at the slice of strawberry cake in front of me. Should I get it? I don't want to have another incident like yesterday.

I settled for f/f instead to save me from another barf session. I looked around the cafeteria for any familiar faces for me to sit with when I spotted Kaminari eagerly waving at me to come to his table. I noticed there were four other heads there with all too familiar hairs.

I waved back and sat at the table with them. Sero, Mina, and Kirishima all welcomed me into the table.

"Hey guys," My smile turning to a smirk when I noticed Katsuki eating his food peacefully ignoring me. I just felt in my heart I needed to destroy his peace. Hehe, "Hey explosion boy."

"Tch. What do you want elf ears? Why don't you go sit with the other extras?" He grumbled at me as I took out my chopsticks. "I don't know. I just felt like sitting here...boom boom boy." I giggled before the whole table started laughing at the nickname, I gave him.

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!" Katsuki yelled at me standing up from his table. Before I could respond there was an ear-piercing ring throughout the whole cafeteria.

'Security level 3 has been breached! Students promptly evacuate the building'

Level 3 security breach? At UA!? Within seconds the whole cafeteria erupted into a panicked state right before my eyes. It took me a second to realize the full situation. Someone got into UA.

"Y/N! COME ONE! WE NEED TO EVACUATE!" Sero called out for me but I couldn't see him in the sea of people swarming out of the cafeteria. I immediately leaped out of my seat and started for the cafeteria doors. It's so clustered in here. I can't see any of my friends.

I made a break for the doors. The cluster only got worse as we neared the EXIT doors. At one point I couldn't feel the ground anymore. I was being moved by the sea of students. They all smelled of sweat and a variation of food. I felt like I was sinking into them. At one point I heard Kirishima and Kaminari scream for the crowd to calm down, but I couldn't see them at all. I was blocked by all the people.

Is this how I die, in a crowd of gross sweating kids. Suddenly I felt a cold hand yank me out of the crowd of people and into an empty hallway. Once I was in the hallway, I took in huge breaths of air that didn't smell of cafeteria and sweat. Sweet sweet clean oxygen oh how I missed you.

"Y/N! Are you okay? You looked to be struggling quite a bit in there."

I looked up to see that it was Momo who had pulled me out of the crowd. Next to her was Todoroki and Tsu. "Thanks, Momo I really needed that save." "It wasn't Momo who pulled you out it was Todoroki, kero" Tsu pointed out with a finger on her chin.

I looked over to Todoroki and he wasn't making eye contact with me. Instead, he looked to be searching the sea of students for our other classmates. "Thanks Todoroki. This is the second time you've helped me. I am beginning to have a tab," I said with a breathy laugh as I inhaled deeply.

"It was the only way. I am the one here with long arms so it only made sense that I would be the one to pull out our classmates," he said nonchalantly.

Right. We searched the sea of kids together looking for other classmates when I heard Iida say," EVERYBODY CALM DOWN! IT'S GOING TO BE OKAY! IT'S ONLY THE PRESS OUTSIDE! YOU ARE STUDENTS OF UA, ACT ACCORDINGLY!"

The crowd visibly calmed down at his words. I too was relieved it was just the press outside and not some villain attack. Those people would do anything for a scoop.
