The next day I woke up to my alarm blaring. The house felt quieter than usual. I could hear mom downstairs but that was it. I opened up my phone looking at any messages. I got one from Momo saying I shouldn't forget to bring my notebooks since we are having actual class today. There was none from Todoroki though not unexpected. Even though I had his number we haven't really talked much.
I checked my messages from Star. Still nothing. My text from last night hasn't even been read. Maybe he went on an all-nighter with Akari or something. I quickly got ready for school and went downstairs greeting mom. The whole kitchen smelled of delicious f/f. "Will Star be joining us this morning?" Mom asked as I sat down to eat breakfast. "I don't think so. I don't think he's even woken up yet. He hasn't answered my texts." I said as I took a spoonful of food, like usual it was yummy.
~Time Skip~
On my way to school, I kept constantly checking my phone. I didn't even see Star this morning at all. "Hey L/N I mean Y/N. Where's Mochizuki?" I heard Izuku call from behind me. "Good morning Izuku good save. I think he may be at home. I haven't had a chance to go over and check on him. Maybe he fell sick? He did use his quirk a lot the other day maybe a new side effect?" We walked the rest of the mountain talking about generic stuff like school and heroes.
When we got to class pretty much everyone else was already there. I took my seat in front of Todoroki's seat which was empty still looking at my phone and the like 100 new messages I've sent Star in the last hour. My thought was quickly interrupted by a boy with yellow hair and a black lightning streak in his hair.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing pouting. Is your boyfriend not here to cheer you up?"
I stared at him with utter shock before bursting out laughing. Boyfriend? As I calmed down from my laughing high I noticed he looked a little embarrassed. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm just confused who you think my boyfriend is."
" The guy with stars for hair I saw you hanging around him yesterday," he said as he made a star with his hand.
I started to laugh again. He really thought Star was my boyfriend. He couldn't be so far from the truth. I calmed down from my laughed and said, " No Star just a friend plus he swings the other way."
"So that means you are single? Hi I'm Kaminari Denki but you can call me yours," he said with a smirk getting his confidence back in a instant. I had to keep myself from further laughing not to embarrass him. "I rather you call me Y/N and not yours. However, we can be friends," I said with a giggle. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Todoroki come in. I waved him a good morning and he just nodded in my direction. Wow, he is not a morning person.
"Everyone, get back to your seats class is about to begin," Mr. Aizawa announced as he approached the front desk, "Before English begins you itguys can all get to know each other's names since we skipped it yesterday. One by one come up and introduce yourself to the class. I'm taking a nap." Just like that Mr. Aizawa disappeared into his sleeping bag.
Who's going to go first? So far I've only met just a handful of my new classmates. No one else was going so I might as well. I walked up to the front of the room.
"Hello! My name is L/N Y/N. I prefer to be called Y/N though. I came in through recommendations. I look forward to spending the rest of our time in U.A together."
The class as a whole looked visibly relieved someone went first to break the ice, with the exception of boom boom boy and my two toned haired friend. I went back to my seat as other people went and took their turns. I leaned my head over my seat to face Todoroki. "Good morning Todoroki." "Good morning Y/N." He said as he went back to prepping for our first class, English. "That's progress! I got 3 full words out of you today. Isn't that great Momo?" I said facing my head towards Momo as she too was prepping for our first class. "Yes, it is wonderful," she looked over at Todoroki too, "Will you grace us with more words." Momo and I started giggling.
"More words," Todoroki said simply as he pulled out a notebook from his bag. I looked at him blank-faced then started laughing hysterically. "Your very funny Todoroki," I said as I pulled out my books. I love this class so much. I think I've laughed more than I have in one day in a single morning. I looked over to the empty desk next to me. I wonder where on earth is Star.
Present Mic then came in for our first English class of the year.
~Shoto's POV~
"Will you grace us with more words?" Yaoyorozu said as she and Y/N started giggling. I don't know what they think is so funny. All she asked me to do is say 'more words' it's not that hard.
"More words," I said simply. Y/N burst out laughing like I said the funniest joke in the world.
"Your very funny Todoroki," she said as she returned her head to a normal position getting out her notebooks. I don't understand what I said that was so funny. I was about to ask her, but Present Mic came in to teach us our first English lesson. --------------------------------------------------- Oh, my sweet clueless Shoto. So uh I apologize. I was planning on making Y/N in the Bakusquad but I think I'll just have her as a squad floater where she just mingles in all squads. I do have a rough outline draft for the story I PROMISE, but my fingers just stray away from it sometimes.
