━━☆⌒*.TODAY SUCKED. There was no particular reason; it was just the fact that it was Monday. Minho made sure to complain about it the most, tilting his head back as he loudly rambled in the hallway. Jisung held his hand the entire time while Hyunjin told him to shut up, only to receive a concerning threat afterward.
Felix briefly smiled at his older friends, watching as Chan approached them and broke up the dramatic fight (to which Hyunjin and Minho blamed it on each other). "You're right, it is my fault," Minho said suddenly, catching everyone's attention as their eyes widened and landed on him.
"I should've stuffed your mouth with wet tissues earlier."
He abruptly lunged at the silver-haired man, Hyunjin yelping as he wriggled out of his grip and darted down the hallway. Minho didn't waste a second to chase after him and Jisung reluctantly followed his boyfriend, apologizing quickly to his friends before yelling at his boyfriend from afar. "And then there were two," Chan joked.
He wasn't going to run after them today; he didn't have the energy for it. That, and whenever he did manage to stop one of them, Minho's revenge plotting never seemed to stop. They talked briefly, Chan mentioning how Seungmin was in the library reviewing before a quiz while Jeongin was probably hanging around one of the vending machines.
"So, how are you doing on that whole confession thing?"
Chan asked suddenly, wiggling his brows suggestively as a bright smile shaped his lips. The sunshine blinked, a light chuckle escaping him. "Ah, I'm doing well. Y/n-ssi's really nice; I like spending time with her. I'm a little nervous, but I'm going to do it at my own pace." He said, freckles scrunching as he looked at his hyung.
Chan nodded, "Do it your way, I just want you two to be together before then."
The statement sounded more forceful and stern, making Felix stop and give him a confused look. However, the Australian looked back at him with an equally bewildered look, as if not understanding the intensity of his words. "What?" Chan asked, brows raised as he stared at his friend with wide eyes.
Felix shook his head, waving slightly as his fellow Australian went down another hallway, his sneakers leading him to the classroom. Surprisingly, Minho was already there, although he didn't look to be happy. "What happened?" Felix lightly laughed, taking his seat beside him. Minho blew his bangs out of his face, huffing.
"Sungie made me stop, but I'll get back at Hyunjin-ah during lunch."
He said, lips pursed as a determined glint filled his eyes. Felix just nodded, laughing again before taking out his journal. Class seemed to blur together and the sunshine couldn't tell if it was because he actually understood the lesson or it was because Minho kept rambling about the ways he'd get back at Hyunjin.
It was hard to tell the difference.
His next class was with Jeongin: math. Unlike before, he didn't dread that class anymore. In fact, it was kind of nice to catch his crush peeking at him sometimes too; it was different. It was sweet. However, as his sneakers scuffed the hallway, a sickening feeling filled his stomach. Something isn't right. . .
He approached the door, hearing voices already. "I'm tired of her spending so much time with Felix oppa, it's annoying." There were more whispers as Felix stiffened at the sound of his name, overhearing the conversation. Please don't be Y/n-ssi. He hoped to God that they weren't picking on his one and only, his fingers curling at the next few statements.
"She's such a priss too; always thinks she's too good for us to talk to."
"How did you even find out her password?"
Felix peeked around the corner, watching as the girl whipped out a pocket mirror. She smiled, her lips covered in lipstick. He took quick strides to them, jaw clenched as he tossed his things onto a chair and reached for the phone. A light click sounded as the phone unlocked, revealing a home screen that he didn't expect to see.
Soobin-ssi. . .
He recognized the picture in an instant, but he looked just a few years younger in comparison to now. He had bright blue hair and towered over his younger sister, a small smile on his face while she seemed more annoyed, his elbow set on the top of her head. His eyes narrowed at the girls who had dared to steal her phone in the first place, but they didn't look back at him.
They were looking behind him.
He tensed, swallowing harshly before turning to look at who was in the doorframe. Y/n stood there, her eyes void of any emotion. She looked Felix dead in the eyes before approaching him, the girls already scurrying off to their seats, acting innocent. "Y/n-ssi, I was trying to—" He started, but was stopped by her grabbing his arm and pulling it down.
Without a word, she wrenched the phone out of his grasp and took her seat. A tense silence soon followed and he stood there like a statue, eyes wide with fear and shock. She only spoke when she realized he wasn't going to move otherwise. "You should go back to your seat." Her tone was bland, the small charm in her voice gone.
He bit his lip, reluctantly retreating to his seat like a puppy with a tail between its legs. Jeongin showed up five minutes after that, glancing at his hyung worriedly at the sight of him sadly looking at his crush. "Are you okay, Felix hyung?" His brows furrowed, a small pout shaping his lips as the freckled boy pursed his lips.
He didn't want to lie, but he didn't want to talk about it either. He silently shook his head before bringing out his journal for the class. Of course he didn't understand why she was so mad at him, but it was like messing with her privacy, right? He didn't do it though, and she didn't know that. Felix lifted his head only to see her look at him once before she looked away.
For the rest of the class, she didn't look back at him once.
She trusted me. . . His bottom lip quivered as he looked down. And I ruined it.
