Lucas's P.O.V
My alarm blared, and I began my morning routine. Downstairs, I joined the others for breakfast.
"Good morning, guys," I said, pouring cereal.
Yesterday's lunch still weighed on my mind. I regretted hurting Mia.
"Mia didn't come to rehearse yesterday," I thought.
Alex and the others didn't suspect my lunchtime story was about Mia.
My mom's words echoed: "Love is like the wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it."
At school, I parked and headed to my locker.
"Mia's not here," I thought, approaching her friends.
"Hey, guys. Seen Mia?" I asked.
Jesse mentioned Mia's past depression and suicide attempt.
I felt a pang of guilt.
In music class, Mia seemed distant, but we nailed our presentation.
"Ready?" she asked before we sang.
Our harmonies blended perfectly, earning an A+ from Mr. Freeman.
After class, the day blurred.
At home, I showered and tackled overdue work in my office.
As I drifted off to sleep, my mind lingered on Mia.
