Lucas' P.O.V
My alarm startled me awake. After my morning routine, I headed downstairs to find everyone at the island, with Arianna cooking breakfast.
"Good morning, guys," I said, receiving heys and sups.
Arianna asked if I'd found the gang mother. I confirmed, and they pressed for details.
"Who is she?" Alex and Jonathan asked simultaneously.
"Guess," I teased, until Noah urged me to reveal.
"Yes, it's the girl I spilled coffee on," I said, annoyed at Alex for eating my granola bar again.
At school, I spotted Mia and her friends across the hall. I walked over, saying, "Hey."
"Sup," she replied, introducing me to Jesse and Hailey.
Mia's P.O.V
Lucas and I walked to class together. In music class, Mr. Freeman announced a group project – singing a favorite song.
"I wonder what we have in common," I thought, as Lucas and I discussed practicing at his house.
At lunch, Hailey asked if Lucas and I were dating. I denied it.
Lucas joined us, and Hailey flirted with Noah. I whispered to Lucas, "Oh my fucking God, she's going hard."
Lucas laughed and cautioned me not to overreact.
After lunch, Lucas walked me to math class.
"Bye," I said, entering Mrs. Knight's class.
Later, I told Hailey and Jesse goodbye and headed home.
"Going to a friend's house for a project," I told Mom.
I texted Lucas for his address and got ready to head over.

Mia: Hey, Luke, can I get your address?
Lucas: Yeah, it's 69 Street, California
I stopped for snacks and arrived at Lucas's house.
