Monday morning arrived, and I shared my weekend news with Jesse and Hailey.
"I'm so fucking happy for you!" Jesse exclaimed.
In music class, Lucas sat beside me.
"Hey, beautiful," he said.
"Hey, Mr. Handsome," I replied.
Lucas asked, "Mia, would you like to go on a date with me?"
"Yes, I'd love to."
"It's a surprise. I'll pick you up at 7."
The free session flew by, and lunchtime arrived.
Lucas and his friends joined us.
Lunch passed quickly, and the final two classes ended.
At home, I curled my hair, applied makeup, and wore a black spaghetti strap dress.
Lucas arrived, looking handsome in black pants and a muscle t-shirt.
"Wow, you look beautiful," he said.
We drove fifty minutes to the cliff side, a special place for Lucas.
The view stunned me.
Lucas shared his gratitude, and we sat down.
He kissed me, pulling away to ask, "Are you sure?"
"Yes."
Our passion ignited.
