(if you haven't caught on the names of the chapters are the lyrics to the song :)
"hi beck!" tori greeted as she sat down next to beck at lunch.
"ya hi" he replied, clearly uninterested. his eyes were fixated upon a table across the way, a table where jade sat, talking to ryn. he almost felt bad for setting her up now. he knew ryn was going to turn her down and jade would loose. as long as beck could find someone who would date him after the STD rumor.
"everything ok?" tori asked looking at his spaced out glare. he shook beck to reality, smiling at tori.
"yes- it's not a big deal." he replied quickly. tori followed his stare to jade and she sighed,
"think you're gonna loose?" she asked again and beck smiled.
"i don't loose vega." he joked and she raised an eyebrow smiling at him.
"i wouldn't be so confident. jade really looks like she is going to make a move on ryn." tori commented watching the other two girls laugh with each other. beck shrugged.
"oh also i'm having a ton of people come over to my house tomorrow night for just like a hang out it starts at 8. be there." she said as she got up and left him sitting alone.
"ryn.." jade said suddenly seriously as they hung out, sitting together at lunch.
ryns heart skipped a beat. she had been dreading this part.
"i was just-" jade tried to say but ryn couldn't keep it in.
"jade look. i know about the bet." she admitted and jade swallowed hard.
"how?" she asked lowering her voice, her eyes fixated on ryns. she was more scared then anything else.
"beck asked me our first. i'm sorry jade i'm just not into girls like that." she stated before grabbing her bag and walking away. jade sighed, leaning back against the table and trying to process what had just happened in her mind. she almost felt stupid? beck had set up this girl and she hadn't noticed the whole time?
now she had limited time to find another girl to like her. giving up honestly seemed easier at the moment. and she was seriously considering it.
beck watched ryn walk away and honestly felt bad for jade. sitting there alone now. in a sudden burst of impulse he got up and went to her table. she looked up from the floor at him with a disgusted look in her eye. he smiled innocently, unable to think of something to say. she huffed in response and he sat down.
"nice job with the ryn thing. she told me you set her up that was good i thought i was gonna win" jade rolled her eyes, still avoiding eye contact with beck.
"ya" he mumbled under his breath, forcing a smile at her but she still wouldn't look at him.
"are you coming to toris tomorrow night?" he asked suddenly. she opened her mouth then paused,
"why would i?" was all she could come up with as she raised an eyebrow at him.
"because i'll be there" he replied. she really had walked right into that one. and she had to admit, he was such a flirt.
"oh woo hoo." she said flatly as beck laughed at her obviously sarcastic reaction to his enthusiasm. soon the bell rang and they parted ways quickly. tori stopped jade ok her way to class,
"oh jade! are you coming tomorrow?" she asked smiling at her.
"maybe" she answered flatly, pushing past tori and on her way to class. she walked ahead of tori for a second before realizing that she could probably confirm that she was actually coming. let tori "prepare" for her she guessed.
she turned around halfway in the hall, her mouth already open and ready to speak the words as she saw tori draped over beck.
not in a "best friends" kind of way either.
she bit down on her lip as she watched him laugh with tori. like he had once laughed with her.
and what hurt the most was knowing she couldn't even be mad. she had no reason to be mad about it. beck was a big boy and he could handle himself. and tori... well she wasn't so much a big girl and jade didn't exactly trust her but she wasn't jades to control. no matter how much she wanted to.
she forced herself to look away and gag slightly as tori giggled happily.
beck wanted girls like tori. girls that giggled at your jokes too loud and too long. girls with smiles that lit up the room whenever they walked in. girls that got along with everyone. girls you could show off and people would be like wow she's the one.
and jade was none of those things.
and tori was all of them.
so why wouldn't beck want tori?
jade wouldn't even pick herself first either.
tori was everything jade had always been insecure about. and now she had to sit there and watch it happen just like she always knew it would. tori always made jade doubt, there was no denying it. jealousy that had turned into reality all too quickly.
she continued on her way to class, but all she could see was the image of their bodies literally next to each other. and that led to worse thoughts, which led to worse ones.
and by the time she had walked all the way to class she just wanted to stop thinking all together.
i hope you guys enjoyed this
