"i don't know beck" she replied finally and his heart fell. not exactly the declaration of love he was expecting from her.

"why not jade? it would be so easy, we could be like two idiots in love" he smiled and she smiled too but then shook her head suddenly.

"no- no we- maybe... i don't know beck. maybe i could love you-" she stumbled over her words.

"hold on- you 'could' love me?" he repeated and she shrugged.

"i don't know!" she repeated a little louder this time, a strain in her voice. she took a deep breath and looked straight ahead of her, avoiding his eye contact.

"i mean.. i do love you." she admitted finally, staring into his eyes.

"...and?" he prompted when she took a deep breath. he knew she didn't have an answer.

"i'm trying ok? i'm trying so fucking hard and i just need to figure it out." she sighed placing her face into the palm of her hands and breaking their eye contact.

"it's ok." he replied finally. she looked up quickly, raising an eyebrow at him.

"take your time. i've waited for you for 6 months now. what's a little longer?" he joked and she smiled up at him.

"you're worth the wait jade." her heart fluttered.

"keep talking" she teased and he smiled even bigger.

"i want you for worse or for better and i will wait forever and ever. i know i broke your heart but i'll
put it back together. i would wait forever and ever." he said slowly and quietly. it felt special like that, like the words were reserved for her ears only.

"remind me how it used to be" she repeated and he smiled back at her. she was just playing a game now and he was going to win.

"with pictures in frames and kisses on checks?" he replied, she smiled at him and their eyes locked once again. unable to look away she took a deep breath.

"and say you want me." jade sighed and he stepped closer to her, their arms almost touching and she could feel his breathing on her.

"i must have lost my mind" he whispered and she shook her head at him, trying not smile.

"when you left me all alone and never told me why?" she joked and he scoffed, getting closer and wrapping his hands around her wait as he pulled her in.

"you don't have to wait anymore" she whispered again, her voice cracking slightly as he smiled goofily at her.

"this is it no more mistakes no more bullshit" he laughed lightly and she nodded.

"i love you too" she admitted finally and wrapped her hands around the back of his neck, lacing her fingers through each other and leaning into him as she pressed her lips against his. she felt him smile into the kiss as she used her fingers to play around with his hair slowly.

suddenly he felt her lips stop moving against his and he wasn't surprised when she pulled away. she took her hand and wiped off her lips.

"aw how sweet" he teased and she gave him a short smile.

"we can do this once you dump her." she stately flatly, grabbing her bag and throwing it over her shoulder.

"but-!" he objected but she turned around and shushed him.

"no buts. i will not be your side chick to tori vega ever. so go break her heart and then we'll discuss things." she patted him on the back as she walked out closing the door being her loudly and walk king off to her study block.

he just blinked. it all started so slow and ended so quick. he just shrugged, walking out of the classroom and heading to his next period.

on his way he passed tori in the hall.

"hey... what are you doing out of class?" he mumbled as she smiled at him.

"going to the bathroom you weirdo" she giggled getting closer to him. he felt incredibly guilty but not about tori. the fact that tori was hugging him made him feeling like he was cheating on jade. even though it was the complete opposite.

he truly did feel bad that he was going to have to break up with her. but it had to be done and he was going to do it if it killed him.

"tori there's something we have to talk about." he said quietly, trying to rip it off like a bandaid.

quick and painless. the words repeated in his mind over and over.

"it's about you- me- us..." he stumbled over his words and she seemed to looked very uncomfortable.

"you don't have to say it beck i know" she sighed, looking at the ground.

"oh... you uhh know?" he repeated and she nodded.

"i know i've been getting closer to andre and you're right. i have kind of felt something for him..." she stammered and becks eyes opened wide.

"oh uh andre?" he asked.

"but we both agreed we wouldn't do anything until i ended things between you and i, and only if you're ok with it." she reassured him and he gave her his best sad look.

"it's gonna be hard but... go ahead. you guys would be cute together" he admitted and she gave him a smile.

"i'm sorry" she said softly and he looked at her.

"it's not your fault. it just wasn't meant to be" he said finally and walked away with a huge smile on his face.

because he had something waiting for him that was meant to be.
