for worse or for better

the next day came quickly, the school week always did. beck walked through the double doors and immediately turned the corner to jades locker.

she was angrily shoving books into it and slamming it closed.

he ran up to her slowly,

"hey hey hey whats all this about?" he asked calmly as she dropped half her books to the ground with a bang making some lower class student run away quickly.

"smart" beck muttered under his breath as the student ran away.

"i'm having a bad day" she huffed loudly and he smiled at her.

"stop smiling it's not funny oliver" she pushed his shoulder playfully, just making him smile more.

"i'm sorry ok i'm sorry" he stifled a laugh and she sighed, rolling her eyes.

"i cant be seen talking to you, leave." she demanded bending down to pick up her books. he nodded in agreement and walked away from her locker to run into tori as he turned around.

"heyyyy how's things" she asked sweetly. things weren't awkward between them and they remained friends even after breaking up.

"they're ok" he replied shrugging.

"hey beck!" a voice squeaked from behind them and they turned around.

beck noticed jade was not at her locker anymore.

"what's up meredith?" tori asked as she motioned to the head phones in her ears.

"oh ya know just picking a song for the full moon jam on friday" she replied with a huge smile. beck and tori nodded.

time skip to later that night

"i cannot believe you let meredith ask you out" jade huffed as she paced around his rv.

"i couldn't turn her down for no good reason. plus tori and andre were getting suspicious and they even tried to set you up." he replied calmly and she rolled her eyes.

"i just can't stand the thought of you two hanging out together at the full moon jam" she whined as she sat down on his lap playfully. he stroked his fingers through her long black hair softly.

"hey shhh it's gonna be ok" he whispered as she leaned her head into his shoulder.

"promise you won't fall for her?" she looked up at him with big puppy dog eyes.

"promise" he replied and she smiled sweetly.

"good" she said quietly under her breath as she laid down on her side of the bed. sprawling out all over it.

"did you fall for tori?" she asked suddenly and he swallowed.

"no" he answered almost immediately.

"that sounded planned" she tilted her head.

"because i knew you were gonna be worried about that. jade i promise i love you and only you" he replied softly, finally laying down next to her and refusing to break eye contact.

after staring at each other for a few seconds she rolled over, laying on her back breathlessly.

"jade?" he asked quietly.

"yeah?" she replied just as soft.

"i don't wanna hide anymore. i wanna tell everyone and before you say no-" he tried to say.

"i think that's a good idea" she agreed, cutting him off.

"you do?" he asked and raised an eyebrow.

"yup" was all she said before she rolled over back again and cuddled into his chest.

he wrapped his hand around her back , letting her fit her head in his lower stomach as she stroked his fingers through her hair.

they didn't really have anything to discuss. but it wasn't awkward. they could just be there with each other and it worked.

they worked.

that friday at the full moon jam they went public with their relationship and it seemed like everyone was happy.

they had staged a whole song for jade and a comeback for beck, it was great and everyone bought it.

she laughed at him as they isolated themselves from the friend group.

"do you think people will ever find out?" she giggled and he shook his head no. suddenly he grabbed her hand, spinning her in towards him and connecting their lips roughly.

she moaned softly into his throat before suddenly realizing how public this all felt.

"beck beck beck beck beck" she muttered as she pulled away from his embrace.

"what?" he replied.

"we're in a crowd of people" she reminded him and he smiled.

"so? they think we just got back together and we have every right to kiss" he shot back and she shrugged.

"let's just do this... later" she said slowly, pulling on the collar of his shirt and pulling him in.

"you really aren't easy now are you?" he whispered into her ear closely, making her shudder.

"get used to it" she replied assertively as she bit down on his neck, sucking on it for a second before walking away.

he just leaned against a pole, very eager for later.
