like monday's tend to do, the afternoon after school dragged on forever.

jade sat alone in her room, just replaying her argument with tori. she regretted what she said but no because she felt remorse, but because she felt like she should've walked away.

she would be the first to admit that tori needed to be put in her place, but tori wasn't a bad person. she was just another girl who had fallen hopelessly head over heels with a boy. and she wanted that boy all to herself.

she knew what tori wanted.

she just didn't know what she wanted yet.

the next day at school, first period flew by and jade was at her locker getting her algebra 2 textbook when she noticed beck walking her way.

"hey i really need to-" he started but she slammed her locker and started to walk away quickly.

"not now oliver" she huffed as she walked past him, hitting her shoulder on his as he sighed at her.

"i'm sorry jade" he yelled out through the hallway. but no one else's head turned besides jades. she stopped walking and turned around to face him. he nervously shifted uncomfortably and she raised an eyebrow.

"for what?" she asked with caution in her voice. he laughed lightly like he was trying to think of the right answer.

"everything?" he joked and she smiled slightly. he was making progress.

"and?" she prompted and he smiled at her.

"i'm sorry for... everything. everything that's happened and everything that might happen in the future" he admitted making her smile once again.

"that's it?" she asked with both her eyebrows raised and he nodded. she nodded back, her lips pressed together as she turned and walked to class.

it was nice to get an apology. for whatever he had done. but she couldn't shake the undeniable feeling that she should be the one apologizing to him for once.

she stalked off to sikowtiz's class because on tuesdays she sadly had it second period. she plopped down in a chair and swung her bag over the back of it.

"hello children!!" sikowtiz yelled as he walked into the class room behind all of them suddenly. a few students jumped and jade just sighed.

"tori! andre! up on stage. up up up!" he yelled and tori and andre scurried up, standing next to each other.

"i'm going to give out flirting veterans beck and jade a break today and SO THAT MEANS it's your turn!" he smiled at the two of them who shyly smiled back.

"beck! jade! toss them your scripts!" he boomed and jade reached into her bag and pulled out her script silently, tossing is lightly into andres hands. he nodded and thanked her and then they began to hesitantly read through the lines.

after the kiss, sikowtiz stormed the stage, waving his hands all over the place.

"stop stop no THIS IS ALL WRONG!" he yelled and tori and andre frowned.

"what do you mean?" tori asked.

"what I MEAN IS, where's the EMOTION?! where's the LOVE?! where's the PASSION?!" he yelled enthusiastically waving his hands.

"it's hard to fake love sikowtiz" andre piped up and the class nodded.

"oh please stop this!" he scolded with a fake frown.

"it's true! i just don't think you can fake that kind of emotion at our age. we don't even know what love is" robbie added on and they all nodded.

"what's the big deal? beck and jade could do it...". cats voice trailed off as all eyes landed on beck and jade. he smiled awkwardly, unsure of what to do with all eyes on him.

"anyone can fake love!" sikowtiz broke the silence with and beck and jade sighed in relief.

"cat you ARE CORRECT. beck and jade do it just fine. BECK! JADE!" he yelled their names loudly and they reluctantly dragged their feet to the stage once again.

"show us that passion children" he demanded and they turned to each other. starting the scene from the start and finishing it. without the kiss this time. neither of them were very committed to the scene at the moment, and there was very little emotion in either of their faces and eyes.

"you're just really special" jade ended the scene with and she heard sikowtiz fake cry from behind her.

"GOOD GHANDI?! what happened to you kids? yesterday you were in love! you were acting your little rumps off! what happened?" he scoffed, face palming and putting his face between his hands. the bell rung loudly and everyone filed out of the classroom quickly. beck noticed that tori had left before him, laughing with andre as she walked to third period.

that left him and jade in the classroom.

"i gotta go to a flex block. see ya oliver" she said as she swung her bag over her shoulder and pulled down the door handle.

"i love you!" he blurted out suddenly and once again she turned to him slowly.

"you what?" she managed to say in shock.

"i-i- i love you" he repeated, slightly hesitating this time around.

"you're too late" she sighed beginning to turn back around. his jaw dropped.

"too late? too late from what? two days ago?" he scoffed as she turned back to face him completely and began taking slow steps towards him.

"it hasn't gone away beck. i haven't forgotten what you've done. blood still stains when the sheets are washed oliver" she repeated a quote she'd been hearing from her mom ever since she was a kid.

"come on jade, don't do this just because your mad. dont this again because you're mad at me. you'll regret it" he reminded her.

"who the hell are you to tell me what i'll regret?" she shot back and he didn't exactly have an answer to that one.

"look jade. i'm only 17, i don't know anything, but i know i miss you. i know i love you. i know i've loved you since the day you asked me for an eraser in computer technologies. i know you love me." he let the last sentence trail off as she finally made eye contact with him.

"you don't know anything" she scoffed and he smiled.

"i do actually. i know your in love with me by the way you call me by my last name. i know your in love with me by the way i catch you glances across the room. the way you make fun of me because it's the only way you know how to connect with people" he laughed but she just smiled.

"so i know i love you and i know you love me. but you have to tell me first hand jade." he paused and she took a deep breath.

"do you love me?" he asked.
