---JOSH POV---

'Just a normal day, with Oli. Nothing else.' I thought to myself, as I grabbed my wallet from the table.
'I just have to pretend I didn't see it. C'mon Josh. Don't be pathetic.'
My conscience was telling me, again and again making me overthink every thought that entered my mind.
'Maybe I didn't see it right? Maybe it was a mistake.' I kept telling myself, over and over again until I was sick of reassuring myself. But, he would have told me, wouldn't we? I mean, we've had so much past and we're so close I would have thought he'd told me. I've told him that I'm bi, did he not see that as a good time to tell me too?

I'm overthinking. I should just go, and forget about what I saw. I checked my pockets and left, feeling my stomach turning, knowing something I shouldn't.
I sat down in my car, turned the engine on, and started my drive to Reading 2014.

As I pulled up outside my room in the hotel, I saw a familiar face driving a familiar car. It was Oli. His elegant face, so pure, concentrating on the road sent shivers down my spine. The ends and beginnings of tattoos showing, and piercings all over. I didn't want to think about the other day, I wanted to think about right now. I watched him step out of his car, deciding weather to go and say hi or wait until I saw him later. I decided to avoid him, at least I tried to ignore him, but I couldn't resist.

'Oli!' I shouted across the small car park. I jerked my head upwards as a sort of 'come over here' gesture.
'Fancy seeing you here' Oli joked, slightly louder than normal as he was still making his way over to me. He spun round and locked his car before his attention was diverted to me. As we approached one another, we did a sort of high-five, followed by a chest bump. You know, the thing guys always do?
'How've you been?' I asked, trying not to sound too curious.
'Nothing exciting...just the normal...practising, screaming, spending time with the others. Yourself?' He asked, looking at me and diverting his attention to my answer.
'Pretty much the same...minus the screaming' I told him, smiling, uncertain as to whether he would find it amusing or not. He indicated that we start walking inside, into the hotel. I felt myself grow more and more uncomfortable by the second, itching to know weather he was going to be honest with me.

Once we'd checked in, we made our war to our rooms which were fortunately opposite in the corridor. We made plans of when to meet later for rehearsals and disappeared into our rooms.

I put my suitcase on the hotel bed, looking around for something to do to kill time. I felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my jeans. It was Matt Barnes:

Tell me when you're at the hotel, on my way. Seen Oli? Said he was coming about the same time as you. Anyway let me know! Matt.

Why did Matt mention Oli? Something's going on. Whilst walking by Oli a minute ago I could tell something wasn't right. That he wanted to let some weight off his shoulders, let something out and set the truth free. He was jus scared. Of course, there are things I've never told Oli, but they're things I never want to tell anyone. Things I shouldn't be proud of.

Hours had passed yet nothing from Oli. I was still sitting waiting for Matt, Dan, Max and Chris to arrive. Matt had said an hour ago that he's on his way. He should be here by now?
I overthought, once again, and reached my phone on the table to call him.

'Hello?' Matts voice calmed me down, as now I knew that nothing had happened, and he was his normal self.
'Where are you? Said you'd be here soon?' I asked, keeping my voice slightly louder than usual, as they had 'Backseat Serenade' on full volume in their people carrier.
'Yeah I'm just pulling up now, why, is everyone okay?' I could tell he was worried, but nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
'Yeah yeah, fine. My room number is 790, if you wanna come up. Oli's is opposite, 789' I explained, in the hope he'd come and say hi.
'Okay, see you in a second, bye' he hung up, and I waited for him to arrive. I had so many questions I wanted to ask.
'Why did you seem so worried?'
'Have you noticed anything about Oli lately?'
So many thoughts were swirling around my mind, like autumn leaves in the wind, faster and faster until there is a knock at my hotel room door.

I opened it to reveal the rest of the guys and a bunch of suitcases, looking as if they have been travelling for hours, but in reality like, 45 minutes.
After we had greeted each other, decided to ask Matt what was going on. He obviously knew something, and it's probably what I think it is.

'Matt, could I have a minute please?' I asked, indicating him to follow me into the bathroom. We left the rest of the band to chill for a while, whilst I got this off my chest.
'Okay. So, have you noticed anything different about Oli, recently?' My stomach was churning with nerves.
'Okay, I know something. Oli ass too scared to tell you, because of how close you are and everything.' I nodded, but as I nodded I heard Oli's voice.

'Hey, could I use your bathroom, mines being fixed. Problem with the flush handle.' He said, about to walk in and see us talking.
'Oh, I don't know what they're doing, but Josh and Matt are in the at the moment, sorry.' I heard Chris tell him.
'No worries, I'll wait until they're out.'
Matt and I stood there silently for a good 30 seconds to make sure they had changed the subject and were deep in a conversation or something, so Oli couldn't hear. But we didn't hear a word. Nothing was coming from the other side of this door.
Every now and then they would talk, but they were probably all glued to their phones instead of being loud, completely unaware of us. Nothing was heard. Matt reached for the door handle and gave me a look as if to say
'I'll tell you later, okay?'
With that, we left the bathroom, one the other, greeting Oli on our way out.

As we sat down, Oli got up, and I covered it up by saying
'Sorry Oli, were you waiting?' But he took it as a joke, as sarcasm. He smiled, and disappeared into the bathroom. The lock making a loud noise as he locked the door and carried on as normal.

'How was your journey down?' Dan asked me whilst rummaging through his bag for something. His attention was diverted to the bag, but when he realised I was watching him instead of thinking about my answer he looked up, and I realised I should speak instead of staring into space.
'Yeah, was alright.' I replied, with pretty much no expression in my voice whatsoever.
'You?' I carried on, after Dan had nodded at my reply.
'Same, wasn't the best, wasn't the worst.' We nodded and then continued doing nothing, and answering tweets in my case.
By this time Oli was done, although he didn't stop and stay in my hotel room. Instead, the moment he stepped out of the bathroom and shut the door behind him, without saying a word, he left. With nothing. No words, no glances. Nothing. But, why?
