---JOSH POV---

I needed to sort myself out, have some time to myself. Oli stayed by my side the whole way and tried to comfort me in every way possible.

I still lay in the same spot in the bed, as he sat by my side, running his fingers through my hair as he smiled at me, lovingly.

'Oli, what would happen?' I asked him, nervously, as neither of us had spoken for at least 5 minutes.

'If what...?' He answered, not one hundred percent sure what I was talking about.
' if I did leave...' I explained as I held back the threatening emotions yet again.

After Oli had thought for a while, and hesitated speaking a number of times, but finally came out with,
'Then so would I.'

I was taken aback by this comment, but it made me smile in a strange sort of way. I guess I was happy that he really cared about me. I felt the threatens of the salty blades of water become stronger, and I let one slip out of my tear duct as I quickly wiped it away before Oli saw.

He smiled when he saw I was smiling, and we held the magical eye contact for what seemed like forever.

Breaking the silence, I heard our home phone start to sound, making me leave my bed and answer it.

'Hello?' I said, waiting to find out who was on the other side.
'Hey Josh, it's Mum.' My mum replied, as I smiled and greeted her once more.

'Anyway, what's up?' I asked, still wondering why she called.

'It's Elissa.' She said, abruptly, making my heart sink as I heard her serious tone. The moment I heard Elissa's name I froze, and Oli quickly shot a look at me as he could tell that I had tensed up.

I felt as though my heart was gripping the rest of my body, almost like my whole body was in a choke hold.

Shakily, I replied with,
'What about her?'

'She was in an accident, Josh, it's pretty serious.' She explained as I instantly sunk to the ground and cried into my knees, which were up against the rest of my body.

My mum could hear the whimpers through the other side of the phone, and told me that it was okay. She also told me I should come and visit her, and gave me the details of the hospital she was in.

The only other thing I managed to say to her was, 'I love you' as she out the phone down. Elissa getting hurt made me understand how grateful I am for everyone in my life.

The moment the phone line was dead, I dropped the phone to the ground, and my head became buried in my knees, as I felt my whole body mass become heavy. Oli's arm wrapped around my back, though, which made me feel slightly better.

'Hey hey hey...shhh, Josh.' His comforting voice whispered as I looked up at him, noticing the water marks on my black, denim jeans where my tears had soaked through.
'It's...E-E-Liss-a.' I tried to explain whilst the tears still came crashing down my cheeks like a waterfall. Oli put his arm around me, this time helping me up to sit on the bed instead of on the floor. I don't think anybody feels the way I feel about Oli right now, nobody could love him any more than I do.

Struggling, I stood upright and sat myself on the bed, trying to calm down. I literally couldn't breathe, and I was almost scared of not catching my breath again. We figured the best thing to do was to visit her now, and maybe I would feel better from seeing her breathing, and alive.

Soon after, Oli and I were in the car as Oli drove to the hospital. When we pulled up in the car park I saw Dad standing by the main entrance getting some fresh air.
