Chapter 15

Chaeyoung staring at her drinks while Jisoo stares at her with worried. She knows her friend always stresses over her work but this is too much.

"Chae, it will be okay." Jisoo smiles softly and holding her hand.

"No, it not!! He officially announced it without my permission!!" Chae slams the table. "Now, what I should do!? I don't want to cooperate with my company with him!!" She already throwing her tantrum.

"Chae!! Calm down!! You are pregnant." Jisoo reminds her.

She breaths in and out. Jisoo about to speak but her phone ringing. She takes it out and saw her manager called her.

"My manager calling me. I will be right back." She excuses herself after Chae nods.

With that, she left alone for a while. She takes out her phone and checks that stup*d news again. She wonders if Jimin already watches it or not.

But, if he did, he will immediately call her. She decides to call him because only he can cheer her up. She waits for him to pick up but only being reply with voicemail.

"Weird. Jimin never ignores my call." Chae mutters. She tries again to call him.

This time, he picks up. "Hey, baby. What's wrong?" He sounds like panting.

Chaeyoung forgot that he must be practice for their comeback. She feels guilty for calling him.

"I'm sorry for disturb your practice, honey." Chae apologized.

"Why? No need to say sorry. You have the right to call me." Jimin speaks softly.

"But, still I shouldn't." She breaths out. "Anyway, um...did you...watch the news?"

"What news?" He asks. Then, Chaeyoung hears their music turn on. She about to speak but Jimin beat her off.

"Um...I-I'm sorry, baby. But I need to go. I will call you again, I promise." He said and hang up.

For the very first time, Jimin didn't say 'I love you' before hanging up. Usually, even he is rushing, he will say it but this time not.

"Guess, he really busy." Chae talks to herself. She just shrugs her shoulder.

"Who's busy?" Jisoo appeared.

"Nothing. Just Jimin. I call him just now and he sounds busy." Chae answers.

"Yeah, Jin did say about it. He has a solo song and at that time also they have come back. The other boys also have their own solo song. So, they might be busy." Jisoo said and take a sip of her drink.

"Hm." She just replies with a hum.

"Are you done? My manager calls me just now and I need to get back to work. They said, I have to finish my scene 2." She groans lazily.

Chaeyoung chuckles, "No wonder why you are the famous actor."

Finally, it's time to go home. She stretches her arms out and sighs tiredly. She looks at her phone and Jimin hasn't called her yet. She packs her stuff but that time, her phone vibrates.

'Baby, I'm outside your company right now.' – Jimin.

Chaeyoung gasp in happiness. She packs her stuff and runs out of the company. She feels so excited. Both of them seem so busy and damn, one day didn't hear each other voice, make them sad.

She saw his car and go straight to it. She opens the car door and gets in.

"Baby!!" Jimin hugs her tightly.

"What a nice greeting." Chae chuckles.

"Actually, I'm sorry. I forgot to call you back, and I was fatigued. I'm really sorry, Chae." He kisses her forehead.

"It okay. I know you are busy." She smiles and ruffles his hair.

"I feel bad though." Jimin sighs. "Anyway, how was your day today?" He asks. He starts driving.

When he asking that, it makes Chaeyoung glance at him quickly. She realizes that he still didn't know about the news yet.

"Fine, I guess." Chae shrugs her shoulder.

"What you mean by 'I guess'?" Jimin frowns.

"Should I just...tell you? I don't want you to get worried." She pouts.

"Just tell me, baby. You know I hate it when you hide something from me." He spoke. His voice shows that he holding his anger.

"I will tell you once we got home." Chae holds his hand on the steering wheel.

"Make sure you will." He mutters.

Finally, they arrive home. Jimin didn't utter any words. Chaeyoung closes the door and being dragged by him.

Jungkook and Lisa at the living room saying 'welcome home' being ignored. She mouthed 'I'm sorry' to them.

"Ah, maybe they have something to settle," Lisa said. Her husband nods in agreement.

Jimin closes the door and brings her to sits on the bed. He raises his eyebrows at her.

"Talk." He demands.

"You are so serious." Chae pouts.

"Baby, you know I hate it when you hide something from me. Now, spilled it out." He glares at her.

Chaeyoung takes a deep breath and tells him everything. Including Mr. Jeongin's move. She didn't even miss one detail. She tells him from A to Z like how she told Jisoo.

Jimin just listens to her silently and never breaks eye contact with her. But, inside his heart already burning.

"That's what happened." She has finally done.

"Why you didn't tell me?" Jimin asks.

"I don't want you to get worried. I don't want you to get distracted by me during your comeback. I don't want to be...a burden." She looks down.

"Chae. Listen here." Jimin brings her to his laps. And cupped her face.

"You are NOT a burden. If you have something bother you, feel free to let it out to me. I never say you are a burden." He caresses her cheeks.

Chaeyoung looks down. He holds her chin and makes her look at him.
"Look at me. Never saw yourself as a burden. Understand?"

"I understand. Sorry." Chae said.

"It okay. Now, what can I do to beat that old man?" Jimin smirks.

"Nothing. I just need you to be my teddy bear. Someone who can comfort me." Chae giggles.

"What? I want to be useful~" He pouting.

"You already useful since the day I let you." She chuckles.

"Oh yeah? Since the day we met? Let me think, for the first time we met, we eventually throw each other a tantrum. Is that you call useful?" Jimin smirks.

"But, you still beside me and never leave me alone when I'm suffering from pain." She exclaims.

"You have point though." Jimin hugs her and laughs.

That's right. He never leaves her suffering with her pain but...
