Chapter 32

Chaeyoung pulls the break and looks behind at Jiwoon. "Are you ready, little one?"

"Yup. Let's go!!" He went out and so do Chaeyoung.

He holds her hand and both of them walk toward the kindergarten. Meanwhile, Chae looks around, and a lot of parents with their children. Jisoo asking her for help to replace her. Today, Jiwoon kindergarten has some kind of special event.

So, his mother couldn't attend due to a tight schedule. "I'm sorry that your mother couldn't come," Chae said.

"No, it's fine. I know mommy is busy and I understand. But..." He stops talking and looks down.

Chaeyoung looks at him and found his expression change. She stops talking and kneels in front of him. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Is daddy...forget about me?" He asks quietly.

She was taken back by his sudden question. "What...you mean?"

"Daddy...seem like forget about me. I keep waiting for his call, I keep asking mommy why he didn't call us." Jiwoon looks at her with teary eyes.

"Oh, dear. Maybe Jin- I mean, your daddy is busy." Chae tries to comfort him.

"If Noona says so...I want Noona to call him." He challenges her and his eyes showing her that he was serious.

"J-Jiwoon...I...I'm not sure-" Chae being interrupted when he takes her phone from her hand.

"Noona." He gives her the phone.

Chaeyoung doesn't have another choice so she just does what he wants. She doesn't know that Jiwoon can be this serious even his age is just kindergarten age. She calls Jin, puts it on speaker, and hoping that he picks her up.

There's nothing they can hear except for a long 'tuuu' but then he picks up. Chaeyoung gasp in happily. "Hey, Jin-"

"Chae, I'm busy right now. Can you call me later? Thank you." He just hangs up like that without letting Chae say anything.

An awkward silence filled the air. A small sigh escaped Jiwoon's lips and force a smile on his face. "See? Now you understand, Noona? Daddy probably forgot about me." His eyes getting teary.

"Um...J-Jiwoon...like I said...your daddy probably really busy." She comforts him and brings him to her arms. "Don't cry, sweetie. Just remember that your daddy loves you- and hey!! Your birthday is coming up. He must be prepared something for you like usual."

Jiwoon's expression lit up. He grins and jumps excitedly. "I'm sure of it!! He must be planning on something!! I can't wait!!" He chuckling and run inside the school.

"I hope so too." Chaeyoung's smile slowly faded and mumbles and sighs before she follows him.

After a long event and activity, it finally finishes. Jiwoon who is in Chae's arms getting sleepier. She brings him on her hips even she has a lot of things to bring.

'Jisoo Unnie is sure needs to pay me with food for this.'

"Noona..." A cute yet soft voice calling her.

"Hm?"

"Put me down." He demands.

"Are you sure? You look tired." Chae was unsure of his request.

He just nods so Chae did it. As he gets down, he rubbed her stomach and hug it. Chaeyoung who melted by the cuteness yet confused, chuckles.

"What's wrong, love?" She asks as she rubbing his hair.

"I forgot that Mommy told me not to be a burden since you are pregnant. I'm sorry." Jiwoo apologized.

"It was fine. You are not a burden anyway." Chae said and open the car door to let him in. Out of a sudden, her phone ringing. "Hello?"

"Chae, is everything okay? Is Jiwoo fine? Are you fine? Is he asking you to pick him up? Please tell me he is a good boy." Jisoo showered her with a lot of questions.

"Everything is fine, Unnie." She giggles and hands Jiwoo his snacks. "He such a good boy. But remember our deal."

"Yeah, I will cook your special pasta today," Jisoo said as she rolls her eyes.

"I got to go. See ya, Unnie!!"

Jiwoo sleeping on the couch. Chae wants to bring her to Jisoo but out of a sudden, she has an appointment in a few minutes. So she told Jisoo that she will take care of him for the whole day. Even it takes too much time to convince her because Chaeyoung is pregnant.

"President, this is the document." Celia hand her it.

"Thanks- wait. This Mr. Jeongin product details." She raises her eyebrows.

"Um...he comes here this morning," Celia told her.

"What does he want now?" Chae messaging her forehead.

"He said he wants to have a call with you soon you got here." Her assistant saw her boss groaning in frustration.

"You can go now, Celia. Thank you for the information." Chae said in big sighs.

She bowed and left the office. Chaeyoung stood up and take her phone. She hesitated to call him because she knows it will make her stressed even more. Her eyes closed to calm herself down.

Then, a tiny hand pulls her white sleeves. She looks down and saw Jiwoo with his messy hair.
"Oh my- I don't realize you awake already." Chae bend on her knee.

"Noona, are you okay?" Jiwoo asks.

"I'm fine. Why you ask though?"

"You look stress." He replies.

Chaeyoung gives him a small smile and picks him up on her hips. "Let's go eat."

"Yeay!!!!!" He clapping his hands.

While he was still on her hips. Chayoung grabs her bag but then when she is about to take her phone, she remembers Jimin.

'He didn't send any message...'

Jisoo opens the door and tried to find her friend and her son. As she looks around, she found them. Chaeyoung looks fine and she let out a relieved sigh. She walks towards them with a smile.

Jiwoo who is eating nuggets saw his mother. "Mommy!!!!!" He gets down and runs towards her.

"Hey, my cutie pie!!" Her mother picks him up and kisses the tip of his nose. Chae smile looking at the scene.

"Hey Chae. I'm sorry if Jiwoo gives you a hard time." Jisoo apologized as she takes a sit.

"Nah. It was fine. We had so much fun. Right?" She grins at Jiwoo. The little guy chuckles and nods.

"Looks like you both did." Jisoo chuckles at them.

They hang out together but still keeping their eyes on the playground that is prepared inside the McDonald's for kids. Chaeyoung remembers Jin and Jiwoo's birthday.

"Chae? You fine?" Jisoo asks in a concerned way.

"I...." She hesitated to ask since it was not her business. "Unnie..."Her soft voice is calling.

"Hm?"

"I know it is not my business but...have Jin...talking with Jiwoo this lately?" Chae finally finishes her sentence.

Meanwhile Jisoo, stiff there. The question made her taken it back but she didn't blame Chaeyoung though. Her friend notices it.

"I-I'm sorry, Unnie!! I shouldn't interfere your li-"

"No. It was fine." She didn't let her finish and say with a light smile. "You have right to ask. Anyway..."

Her eyes move toward Jiwoo who happily playing. "For your question...the answer is no."
