Chapter 31

"WHAT!?"

Jennie slams the table causing everyone in the restaurant to look at them.

"Yah!! Keep it down!!" Chae scolds her. She bowed at everyone and smiles.

"But seriously. That jerk involved police!? But the contract is fake as you said!!" Jennie said in anger.

"Yes, it is. The police give me time and I need to find proof." Chaeyoung closed her face with her hands and sighs.

"Do you need my help? I can punch that guy." Jennie said.

"No. We can't use violence. It is okay, Jen. I just want to let it out and thanks for hearing me out." She smiles softly at her.

"You welcome. Does Jimin know this?" Jennie's question makes her stiff. "I take that as no." She said and take a bite of her food.

"I just...don't want to make him worried. He probably...busy." Chae playing with her food.

Jennie stops munching her food and her gaze move to her. She stares at her, tries to find the answer.

"If I tell him what happened, do you think...it will affect his work?" She asks.

"I'm not sure about that but he is your husband. You have the right to tell him." Jennie answers.

Chaeyoung takes out her phone and decides to call him. "Jen, I will be right back."

Before let Jennie reply, she already went out. Her friend just shrugs her shoulder and continues eating.

Chae waiting for him to pick up but only receive a voice mail. She let out a heavy sigh.

"He must be practice. "Chae mutters.

"I'm home!!"

Chaeyoung put down her coat and looks around to find Lisa. But she was nowhere to be found.

"Lisa!! Where are you!?" She yells.

"At the kitchen!!" Lisa reply.

With that, she goes to the kitchen. There she is, wearing an apron, and it is such a mess. Flour on the ground, the dough on the counter, and overcooked cookies are scattered everywhere.

Chae jaw drops while looks around. Meanwhile, her friend grins awkwardly.
"You are early today." She speaks.

"What...straight to the point. What happened?" Chae asks.

Lisa sigh, "I'm trying to bake but...you know I don't know how to bake right?"

"Then, why are you still trying?"

"I'm bored!! I can't just sit and doing nothing. You know how bored I am?" She pouting.

"Okay. I'm sorry for that." Chae giggles. "I bring dessert for us to eat since I and Jennie hang out at the cafe just now." She put it down.

"Really!? Yeay!!!" Lisa clapping her hands and jump slightly.

"Don't jump!! You are pregnant!!" Her friend scolds her and puts in her apron.

"Same as you." She rolls her eyes.

Chae chuckles and cleans the mess she did. "How are you?"

"We live in the same house." Lisa facepalm with her.

"I know idiot. But I'm not 24 hours with you."

"I'm fine. Well, I don't know if you realize or not but our baby bumps are increasingly visible." Lisa squealing while rubbing her tummy.

Chaeyoung looks down and notices that. She didn't realize it because of her work. She smiles and rubs it.
"I told Jungkook and guess what? He yelling like someone stab him. Then he said he yells in happiness." Her friend told her.

"That's great." Chae smiles as does her work. Lisa just keep talking while her sweet friend just listening with a smile.

At Night~

Jennie gets in her car and sighs tiredly. She takes out her phone to call her husband.

Who wouldn't miss their husband right? They have been away for a month already and they didn't realize it was a month already.

She waits for him to pick her up and when he did, she speaks first.

"Tae!! Honey-"

"What do you want, Jen?" Taehyung annoyed yet cold voice make her smile faded.

"Um...I...I just miss you. How are you darling?" She asks with a cheerful tone.

"Jen, I thought it was the important thing. Ugh..." Taehyung groans in annoyance. "I have work right now."

"Oh...sorry. I was just...wanted to ta-"

"I hanging up now." He hangs up just like that.

He leaving Jennie dumbfounded. She never heard this tone before but she just shakes it off. She takes a deep breath and lets it out.

Maybe he's tired.

She shrugs her shoulder and drives home.

Chaeyoung is watching television but her mind is not focusing on it. She keeps thinking about it, about Mr. Jeongin. Her head hurt when think what should she do to find the proof.  She knows he wouldn't give up not until he gets what he wants. 

"Noona!!!" Jiwoon jumps on the couch beside her. It makes her startled. 

"Hey, Jiwoon. You look happy today." She caressing his cheeks. 

Jiwoon chuckling and lay his head on her lap, wanting her to caressing his hair. Maybe he is still a child, but he is a spoiled boy with his mother and his three aunts.

"Mommy helps me doing my homework and I finally finish. Now, I can do anything I want!!" He clapping his hands. "Can you play with me?"

"Um...sure. But not too long because tomorrow you have school" Chae reminds him. 

Jiwoon squealing and jump out from the couch.  "Let's play with my blocks. We make your company with my blocks!!!!" He takes out all of his blocks. 

Chaeyoung gets down and both of them sit on the ground and start playing. Jisoo who walk downstairs saw it and smile. She knows Chaeyoung will be a good mother. Her thought was interrupted by Jennie who walks in.

"Welcome home!!" Chae and Jiwoon greet her. 

"Hey, both of you. Whatcha doing?" Jennie smiles at them. 

Jisoo narrows her eyes because she can see something is wrong with her. 

"We building Chae Noona company." Jiwoon grins happily.

Jennie gives him a thumbs up and walks away. 

But then, she stops when saw Jisoo standing in front of the stairs, staring at her suspiciously. She raised her eyebrows, "What's wrong, Jisoo? Why did you give me that look?"

"Nothing." Jisoo smiles warmly and walks away.
