TRATS 2: Our Happy Ending

Chapter 23

A lot of VIP guests in the hall, talking about business or something. Chaeyoung looking around and hoping that she wouldn't meet Mr. Jeongin today.

Well, she knows that wouldn't happen.

"Hello, Mrs. Park." Someone greets her. She turns her back and only to see Jackson smiling.

"Jackson!?" She gasps. "Wait. What are you doing here?"

"Well, I'm being invited. Even my company is not big as yours but I got an invitation." Jackson answers.

"Thank goodness. If not, I feel bored here." Char sighs.

"But...Im surprised that you cooperate with-” She cuts Jackson's sentences.

" Don't even MENTION his name." Chaeyoung glares at him.

"Why?"

"For your information, I never agreed to this cooperation. You can see why I don't want to!! He got a bad background and I don't want it to affect my company." Chaeyoung grabs the glass from the waiter that passed her.

"But he forces me. I don't have any choice. I just need to do something that can make him cancel this." She takes a sip of her drink.

Jackson can see that she looks stress. "That's why I'm confused why you accept it when I saw the news. I mean, I know what type are you."

"Because of him, I and Jimin misunderstand each other." She sighs heavily.

"Oh. How is he? What's wrong with both of you? Argument?" He asks with a teasing tone.

"I don't know. He seems...took the wrong idea about this. He thinks that I don't confess anything to him because I don't trust him or something." Chae explains.

"But?" Jackson raised his eyebrows.

"But...I didn't mean any of that!! I just...don't want him to get worried. Plus, I have to control my emotion because I'm pregnant." She rubbing her stomach.

"Yeah. You shouldn't stress yourself- hold on. YOU WHAT!?" Jackson's eyes widen.

Chaeyoung looks at his confused. "I'm what?"

"Girl!! You said you are PREGNANT!!" He yells.

She blinks her eyes and reality hits her. She just realizes she hasn't told Jackson about her pregnancy.

"Oh. I forgot to tell you." She bluntly said.

"I wish I can smack your head but since you are pregnant, I will take it." He smacks his head. Chaeyoung bursts into laughs.

"Seriously. Congratulations!! I told you, you will have it one day. Since you and Jimin a little bit...wild." He wiggles his eyebrows.

She chuckles and shakes her head. Jackson puts his hands on her shoulder.

"Back to Jimin. About him...I think you and him should talk." He spoke. "He probably overthinking. Trust me. If you both have a nice talk, everything will be okay." Jackson gives her a comfortable smile.

She smiles and nods. "Yeah. I will do that. Thanks for the advice."

"Everything for my best friend." He winks at her.

"Remember when you kiss me?" Chae jokes.

"Oh please. Don't remind that stupidness of mine." Jackson hides his face.

Chaeyoung bursts into laughter. Thanks to him, now her emotions stable and she knows she should talk with Jimin.

She knows Jimin just needs her beside him and talks. While they laughing and talking, a voice makes them stops.

"Look like my partner here having fun without greeting me first."

Chaeyoung mentally let out a heavy sigh. Jackson bowed at him.

"Thanks for invited me, Mr. Jeongin." He said.

"No problem. But, do you both know each other?" Mr. Jeongin asks.

"Yeah. We're best friends. Childhood best friend." Chae turns to him with a cold face.

Meanwhile, Jackson feels shivers because he couldn't believe that his bestfriend has a two-face. She laughing so happily but when this dude came, it was gone just like that.

"Wow. Didn't expect that, Chae." He said with a fake smile.

"I didn't ask you to expect anything," Chae exclaims.

"Please don't start a scene here, my partner. It will make both of us in trouble." Mr. Jeongin smirks.

"I didn't make a scene. I just talk. Can't partner talkback with a partner?" Chae smirks at him again.

Mr. Jeongin rolls his eyes and steps forward to her. He leans to her ears and whispers.

"If you want your company in good reputation, you better stop pissed me off." He leans back with a so-called friendly smile.

Meanwhile, Jackson, standing there watching both of them. He can see Chaeyoung hands clenching into fists.

She takes off her shoes and opens the door slowly. It dark and seems like everyone already went to sleep. When she walks to the living room, she saw a television light.

Someone hasn't sleep yet. Obviously. She saw Lisa watching a movie alone.

"Lis? Why you still awake? You should asleep already." Chae spokes and looks at her watch. It already 11 pm.

"Oh!! Your startled me." Lisa responds. "I...I just...can't sleep." She smiles. But Chae knows it was fake.

"Okay. I don't know what happened but you have to sleep. You are pregnant. Jungkook wouldn't like it-"

"I know." She cuts her sentence off. "I will go to sleep after this."

Chaeyoung can see her fight with Jungkook. But she couldn't figure out wheater it a small or big fight.

She nods and went upstairs to her bedroom. She opens the door and saw Jimin already asleep. A smile appeared on her face. As she walks in, she saw her pajamas on the bed beside him.

Did he prepare my pajamas?

Chaeyoung looks at his sleeping figure and smile. She brings the pajamas to the bathroom.

"He asleep. Maybe I will try to talk with him tomorrow." She mutters.

She takes off her clothes and saw a bathtub already filled with warm water. She furrows her eyebrows.

Who prepared this?

While she thinking, she finally found out.

"Look like Jimin prepared all of this." Chaeyoung giggles.

So sweet.
