TRATS 2: Our Happy Ending

Chapter 36

"Okay, take a rest for 10 minutes!!" The staff yells.

The boys sit down and are given water and a towel. Their stylish points a mini fan to them to cool them down.

"I mess it up." Jimin ruffles his hair.

"Jimin, you didn't." Hoseok pats his shoulder. "Everyone did a mistake. I'm sure they will understand."

"How can I miss my part? I even mess up the choreography." He groans. Knowing that Jimin is someone who is hardworking and thought everything SHOULD- in other words, MUST TO, be perfect.

"You didn't do that on purpose. Everyone make mistake." Jungkook said.

In fact, Jimin didn't reply. He too focuses on his mind. He stood up and goes get water. As he gulps it down, he almost slams the cup on the table. 

Just one job.

Make it perfect and yet...

'I messed it up...'

A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Suddenly, his phone rang. With annoyed groans, he pick it up. A soft yet angelic voice speak up but that didn't mean it helped with his bad mood. Like it said just now, he's too into his mind right now.

"What!?" Jimin snaps.

"O-Oh. Am I bothered you?" Chae asks in guilt. 

"Chae, I'm working." He sighs heavily. 

"I-I'm sorry, honey. I try to call Jin but he wouldn't pick up." Chae explains.

Jimin closes his eyes and sighs again. He looks over Jin and saw he focus on the script on the paper. They will have an interview and he has to memorize some of the English words.

"He's busy." 

"Can you tell him to call Jisoo? She has something to say. Besides, we are afraid that he might forget Jiwoon's birthday tomorrow." Chae blabbering. "You know Jiwoon misses his father?"

"I know Chae. But can you stop putting your nose on someone's problem?" Jimin snaps. He push his hair back as the manager gave him the script. "He wouldn't forget it okay? Chill down, women."

By that, he hangs up. He slams his phone down and focuses back on the script at the same time, trying to stable his voice.

Yoongi who witnesses the scene feels pity for his wife. What's more fun? He who just has a girlfriend and is not yet engaged feels excited for Jiwoon's birthday. While his father forgot it.

Chaeyoung stares were deathly at Jeongin who sits across her. He has smirks on his face. Celia standing behind Chaeyoung can feel the tension between them. She gulps looking at her boss's scary face.

It reminds her not to make Mrs. Park pissed.

"Cancel it." 

"I thought the police officer makes it clear, Mrs. Park." He smirks.

"Well, it is." She nods. "But I have our recording voice during our call today." 

Jeongin laughing so hard as if Chaeyoung make a joke. He stood up and walks toward his desk, grabbed an envelope, and throw it at her. 

"You a little bit late doing that, sweetie," Jeogin said.

She frowns and opens the envelope. There's a piece of paper on it. She takes a look and it makes her eyes wide open. Only make Jeongin smirk wider. 

"No!! They wouldn't believe this!!!!" She yells.

"Are you sure? I don't think so." He chuckles and takes a sip of his drink.

"This is not valid!! I never sign it!! H-How did you got my signature copy!?" Chae asks.

"A magician wouldn't tell his secret." The only thing he said.

Chaeyoung gritted her teeth and storms outside. Celia follows her in nervous with her boss furious.

After a few minutes, they arrive at the police station. Chaeyoung ignores the stare who looking at her with a weird expression. 

As she walks in, she saw the same officer about to call someone. When he notices her, he put down the phone. "Mrs. Park, I'm about to call you."

"This is not valid." She ignores his statement and shows him the paper agreement which she agreed to give her company to him. The officer mouthed 'o' and nodded.

"This is what I want to tell you. Look like Mr. Jeongin told you." He takes a sit. "Mrs. Park, it is obvious that your signature is there. You can't accuse people like that." 

"Officer, I'm not." She said. "I never ever sign it!! He fakes it!! It must be someone else who helps him to get my signature." Chae tries to convince him.

"Im sorry, Mrs. Park. But, there's nothing we can do." He shakes his head.

Chaeyoung gripping the paper tightly until it crumbles. "I wouldn't give my company to him!!"

"If you did that, you can be sued, Mrs. Park." The officer sternly said.

"I don't care. I will protect what is mine and prove to you that YOU ARE THE WORST OFFICER EVER." Her words made the officer's jaw drops. "I know Jeongin must give you something because you didn't even do your job to investigate."

She leans closer and whispers, "I promise you, I'll make Jeongin live in the jail forever and YOU officer will get on your knees, begging me not to make you fired." 

The officer shook under her. Her words sound so powerful yet soft. How can the famous sweet CEO be the devil? Her harsh words give so much affection to anyone. Even Celia behind her.

Chaeyoung walks away leaving him. She grips her hair and breath heavily. Now, she doesn't know what to do. Yes. She is rich as hell. But the company is being given by her parent. She want to treasure it until it passed to the next generation.

Dad and Mum must be disappointed if they know this...

"We have to do something. We have to do something. I can't lose. Come on, Chae. Think! Think!!" She walks back and forth while biting her nails. She keeps repeating the same words.

"You can't let them win over you. Don't cry, don't cry." She mumbles.

Celia looks at her boss, biting her lips.

"That's it!! We have to find who betrayed me." Chae grabs Celia's wrist. "I need your help, Celia."

"Boss..."

"I will be fine. I need you to-"

"Boss!!!!" Celia yells.

Chaeyoung stopped because she never raise her voice at her own boss. Celia pull her wrist back and clutched it on her chest.

"Boss...I-I'm sorry..." 

"Why?"

"I-I don't have any choice but follow it!! I'm sorry!!" She starts to cry.

What she said made Chaeyoung confused but at the same time, trying not to think suspicious over her.

"T-The signature..." She mumbles.

"C-Celia. Please...don't t-tell me..." 

She fell on her knees and grabbed both of Chaeyoung hands. Celia breaks down, "I did it!! He promise me that he will give me everything and I agreed."

"Trust me!! I felt guilty when betrayed you!!" Celia crying so hard.

Chaeyoung, standing there. She couldn't believe her trusted and loyal worker betrayed her? She shakes her head and slowly pulls her hands away from Celia. 

"I can't believe it...you...you betrayer..." Chae said and walks away, driving away from there leaving Celia who is crying and regretful of her action.
