15. Kiss

A bunch of laughter is heard from both boys.
Ben straightens up again, which results in their faces getting close to each other, their hips and chests almost touching.
Both stare at each other for a moment.
And then comes the moment Joe has been waiting for, dreaming of even.
Ben fills the gap between them by leaning in, and gives Joe a kiss on the lips.
It isn't a very deep kiss, but yet Joe can feel his knees getting weak and his face turning red.
Joe is so surprised by the sudden kiss, that he almost forgets to kiss back.
After a few seconds Ben breaks the kiss, and can feel his cheeks burn.
Joe can see that the boy is quite shocked by his action himself.
"I uhm- I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I'll leave, I'm sorry." Ben stutters.
Before Joe can even say anything, Ben already disappeared to his room. The ginger can feel his heart pounding twice as fast as normal. A big smile has painted his face, and he can feel that weird feeling in his stomach again.
It happened. They kissed.
And this time they were both sober. Joe giggles softly out of happiness. He takes a deep breath, and walks to Ben's room. 

There he sees the blond sitting on his bed, staring at the ground. Even when he hears Joe knocking on the door, Ben doesn't look up.
And so Joe walks over to the bed, and sits down next to Ben.
"I'm sorry again. If you want me to go I will." Ben mumbles after a while of silence.
Joe lifts his head up with his index finger, so their eyes can meet each other. "No silly. Don't you ever apologize for doing that." He says with a big smirk.
Ben's eyes widen slightly, and he looks at the ginger with confusion. "What do you mea-"
Joe doesn't give him a chance to finish his sentence, and locks their lips together.
It doesn't take Ben long to melt into the kiss. He moves his hand towards Joe's cheek, gently cupping the boy's face.
Joe gently slips his tongue in the blond's mouth, which Ben allows without hesitation.
When they pull away from the kiss to breath, they look at each other with big smiles on their faces. 
"You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that." Joe says blushing.
Shyly, Ben looks down at his hands. "Well, tell me then." He whispers.
Joe giggles softly. "Like, since the day I found you in the snow." He puts his hand on Ben's knee and slowly moves it up.
The smile on Ben's face gets even bigger, and again he presses his lips against Joe's.
"Not gay huh?" Joe says with a smirk when they break the kiss.
Ben shrugs with a grin. "Maybe I just made an exception for you." He grins even more when he sees Joe blush even harder. 
For a moment, they just look at each other without saying anything.
Then Joe crawls on top of Ben's lap, starting to straddle the boy's body. He leans in for another kiss, placing his hand on Ben's chest.
Ben gladly kisses the boy back, but starts to feel a little nervous about what might be coming next.
When Joe notices the overwhelmed look in Ben's eyes, he stops straddling the boy. Instead he snuggles up against Ben's chest, listening to the boy's heartbeat. "Wanna watch a movie together?" He whispers.
Ben nods with a quite relieved smile.

"Jurassic park, seriously?" Ben says with a raised eyebrow once he and Joe have plopped down onto the couch in the living room.
Joe giggles and shrugs. "What? You prefer Jurassic world then?" He says with a grin.
Ben rolls his eyes with a big smile and shakes his head. "No no, Jurassic park is fine."
With a satisfied look on his face, Joe settles down on the couch next to Ben. He notices that Ben is scooting a little closer to him, but doesn't dare to come too close. He is probably scared that he will invade Joe's personal space.
And so Joe decides to show the boy that he shouldn't be scared of that at all. He snuggles close to the blond, and puts his head on Ben's chest. Joe hears him chuckle softly, which is a sign for him that Ben doesn't mind.
The blond grabs the remote to start the movie. 

During the movie, Joe briefly closes his eyes. Settled in Ben's warm embrace, he slowly dozes off. Ben's chest is just way too comfortable.
He opens his eyes again when he feels a hand running through his hair. He smiles sleepily, and looks up at Ben.
Apparently the boy was staring at him, because he quickly moves his gaze towards the television.
A small grin appears on Joe's face. He gently pokes Ben in the side. "We uhm, should probably order some food, right? Otherwise we'll starve." He mumbles before yawning.
Ben giggles and shows him his phone. "I already ordered us some pizza."
With a big smile, Joe places his head on Ben's chest again. "You can read my mind." He mumbles while closing his eyes again. 
Ben smiles at the boy in his arms, giving him a small kiss on the head.

When the pizza arrives, the two sit down on the couch again, close to each other.
After the movie ends, Ben wants to grab the remote to put something else on, but Joe stops him. 
The ginger puts his pizza on the table, and looks at the blond boy nervously. "So uhm... I uhm-" The ginger stutters.
Ben giggles when he sees that Joe's cheeks are getting as red as a tomato.
"I wanted to ask you... if I can take you out this weekend." Joe asks with a shy smile.
Without answering the question yet, Ben strokes some hairs out of Joe's face. "As in a date?" He asks with a small grin.
Joe shrugs and looks down while nervously playing with his sweater. "I guess." He says softly with red cheeks.
With his hand Ben lifts Joe's head, and brings it closer to his.
The ginger doesn't hesitate, and presses his lips against Ben's.
"I would love that." Ben says with a big smile. 
Joe smiles, and places his head on Ben's chest again.
"You're very cute when you're nervous." Ben whispers in his ear.
The ginger giggles softly and closes his eyes, just enjoying the sound of Ben's heart pounding. "And you are very comfortable." Joe mumbles back before letting out a yawn.
Not much later, both boys fall asleep on the couch, still cuddled up against each other.
