"Mary, could you maybe check on your brother? He and Ben have been in their room for quite a while now. Ask them if they need some extra sheets." Joseph says with a smile.
Mary nods and walks, slash waddles, towards Joe's room. She opens her mouth to start talking, but doesn't say anything once she sees the two boys.
Ben and Joe are still lying on their bed, cuddled up like they fell asleep. The two both have their eyes closed, and don't seem to notice Mary's presence.
Ben has his nose nuzzled in Joe's ginger hair, and his arm around the boy, pulling him into his chest.
Joe has his head restes on Ben's shoulder, his arm clung tightly around the blond's chest.
With a smile on her face, Mary walks back to her Dad.
"And?" Joseph asks. He raises his eyebrow when he sees the smile on his daughter's face.
"I think they have everything they need for now." Mary says with a chuckle.
Joseph still doesn't understand it.
Which is why Mary takes his hand and pulls him along to the boys' room.
Joseph immediately smiles when he sees the two boys asleep against each other.
Mary grins when she sees that her father finally likes a boy Joe brought home. Their father used to disapprove of any boyfriend Joe introduced to him. But she can see her Dad really likes Ben.
"Should we wake them?" Mary whispers. A guilty look appears on her face when she sees Ben opening his eyes. "Oh gosh did I wake you?"
Ben rubs his eyes. "I'm not sure if I'm really awake." He mumbles with a yawn. "Sorry, I-" He looks down at Joe. "Well we, dozed off."
Both Joseph and Mary chuckle at that. "Don't apologize, you had a long trip." Joseph says softly. With a big smile, the man looks at his son, who seems to be far away.
Ben runs his hand through his boyfriend's hair. "Should I wake him?" He asks.
Joseph shakes his head. "Let him sleep. Dinner won't be ready for another hour." He says with a wink before grabbing Mary's hand and pulling her out of the room to give the two boys some time alone.

That evening they all have dinner together. Joe can see that Ben still isn't as talkative as he usually is, but the boy gets more and more comfortable as the conversations spark up.
When Joe is telling to his Dad about their job at Brian's music store, he suddenly sees a big smile on Mary's face. "What's with the big smile sis?" He asks her.
The girl is immediately looked at by her father and Ben, just like her brother. "Nothing. Just the babies kicking." She says with a soft giggle.
A big grin spreads across Joe's face. "Maybe they'll become little soccer stars. Then you'll become a soccer mom." The grin on his face only grows when he sees that their father has to do his best not to burst out in laughter.
Mary rolls her eyes with a big smile. "I know there's nothing wrong with being a soccer mom, but I don't know anything about soccer." She says.
"Maybe Joe can be their face-time coach from London." Joseph grins.
Ben can't do anything but admire the relationship Joe has with his family. It's something he gets jealous of sometimes.
"That's a deal." The ginger says with a smile.
Their conversation gets interrupted by a phone ringing.
Mary checks her phone, and gets up. "I'm sorry, it's important." She says before leaving the room.

Mary hasn't left the room for a second yet when they hear the front door open.
"Hey hey, I'm home."
A big smile appears on Joe's face when he hears his brother's voice. The ginger gets up and walks over to his brother, who has only just entered the room.
"Hey Joe!" John says happily. He hugs his little brother. "I missed you, baby bro." He says with a smirk when they let go of the hug.
Joe rolls his eyes. "If you call me that once more I'll be on the next flight back to England." He says to his older brother as he crosses his arms.
John chuckles and raises his hands apologetically. "Noted." Then his eyes fall on Ben. "And then you must be the blond tough guy with the sweet heart and the green eyes in which you can drown." He says with a smirk to the boy.
Joe giggles softly when he sees Ben's confused look and red cheeks.
"Don't look at me man, those are his words." John says as he points at his younger brother.
Ben looks at his boyfriend with a raised eyebrow.
The ginger shrugs. "What? You're my boyfriend, I'm allowed to brag about you."
Ben shakes his head laughing. "Uhm yeah, sure. But anyways, it's nice to meet you John."

"Mary? Is everything okay?" Joe asks when his sister enters the room again.
All eyes turn to the girl, allowing all of them to see the confused look in her eyes.
She shakes her head. "No. I just got off the phone with the couple who would adopt the babies if things won't work out. They renounce the adoption. They told me that they're having some problems in their marriage and wouldn't want for the babies to end up in a unhappy home. Or something like that, I wasn't really listening anymore." Mary sits down on the chair next to the one her Dad is sitting on.
"So what now?" Joseph asks. He knows that his daughter has probably thought everything through already. Just like she always does.
But this time, Mary just shrugs. "I don't know. I guess we just have to make things work. I gotta call Matt." She says with a frown.
"Don't worry sis. I know you can do it." Joe says reassuringly.
John and Ben nod in agreement.
Mary is about to leave the room again to call her boyfriend, when her father gets up.
"I'm afraid I'm needed at work guys." Joseph says with a sigh after receiving a text.
Mary smiles when he sees the concerned look in her father's eyes. She knows the evening shifts of her father are long ones. He already worked as less as possible the past week because of her. He was scared Mary would suddenly go into labor.
"Don't worry about me Dad. My due date isn't until tomorrow, and once something's happening I'll call immediately. I promise." She says with a reassuring smile before leaving the room to call her boyfriend.
Joseph turns to the three boys who are left. "Please keep an eye on each other? My shift lasts until 1 Am, until later with some bad luck."
The teens all nod.
"Yeah yeah, don't worry Dad." John says.
Joseph smiles reassured before grabbing his jacket. "Please don't destroy the house." He says with a serious face.
Joe giggles softly. "We'll try our best. I mean, what could go wrong with four teenagers?" He smirks when he sees his dad rolling his eyes.
"Okay then. I need to go now. John, there still is some food in the fridge by the way." Joseph says as he grabs his keys.
"Thanks Dad." The boy says with a smile while pushing his father towards the front door. "Bye!"
